| Even better, the peninsula south of St Tropez, south of Tahiti Plage.
Tahiti Plage is rather up-market with prices to match (it has cocktail bars,
shops and restaurants on the beach!), not much CO (if any), and very crowded.
Can't remember what the peninsular is called, but it's a nature reserve,
and CO is allowed on the beaches. These are little coves all round the
peninsula, not too crowded, and with great reef sections and warm water,
great for snorkelling! Loads of shoals of small fish to swim through
[ great if you've got an underwater camera - I haven't :-( ].
From St Tropez, head inland/south towards and through Croix Valmer, and south
to the sea (not towards Cavalaire, to which the road heads west). On reaching
the sea, drive east along the promenade, and park at the end. The nature reserve
starts there, and the CO beaches are but 5 minutes away along the coastal path.

| Rob,
Thank you (and the other replyers) for the info on that nice spot for CO and snorkeling (I will
not use an underwater camera, however, since then i might be prosecuted
for underwater-voyeurism...)
Hope to try all info when I am down there.
Phil
