244.0. "Lunch time recreation" by AUSSIE::BELL (Charitas Patiens est) Sat May 26 1990 12:24

The SNA facility is very close to the Lane Cove River, part of which is
surrounded by National park and other Recreational areas. About fifteen
months ago I started exploring the area during my lunch times, partly
for exercise, and partly out of curiosity.

During one of these explorations I found a section of river bank
completely hidden from the surrounding houses, with a reasonably flat
rock about 5 metre above the water level facing north (the sunny side
    in the Southern Hemisphere).

The temptation was too great, I stripped off, and sun-baked for about
half an hour, and have since spent many very relaxing lunch times (or
parts there of) looking out over the river, without a care on my mind
or a stich on my body.

Its not totally with out problems, occasionally boats roar past, and a
quick cover-up seems advisable, the spot is also popular with school
kids during the holidays (unofficial as well as official). A rope for
swinging from the cliff into the water hangs from a nearby gum tree.

About a month ago I noticed someone on a rock down near the waters
edge, at first I thought "No nude sunbaking today", then I noticed that
there were two people there, both nude. They were a husband and wife who
had come by boat. I climbed down the cliff and the three of us talked
as we sunbaked and watched the fish jump.

Well its nearly Winter now and a little cold and wet for serious nude
    sunbaking, but come next Spring...

Down here in Perth (or is it up here ?) the office is only 10 minutes
drive from "Swanbourne beach" and also lots of customer sites are close
to this beach, quit often I spend my lunch hour having a quick swim and a
Jogg .There is about 5 Km lenght of "Federal beach" here, which is not
controlled by the local councils and is the only beach close to the
city where one can swim, run and bake nude with out being arrested.
This beach has at any time the most people per square of sand and is
very popular. Even in our just started winter there are some fine day's
to cold for a swim but perfect for a Jogg.
    regards, Jan

What do you think the chances are that DEC would provide support
for naturist areas on company property? This conference is listed in the
valueing differences section of the easynotes listing. Does that mean that
naturists would be given the support shown to other groups similarly listed?

The company supports all manner of activites on company property,
including seminars and awareness days for different groups. The company
spends quite a bit of time, energy and money in support of health conscious
activities (fitness centers, sporting events, etc) and naturism is considered
to be healthy.

Many facilities have the area and are isolated enough from the public
view to support some naturist activity such as a CO tanning area.

	What do you think?

Digital is progressive, but not *that* progressive. I don't see
    it happening in our DEC_lives.

This already happens in some Europeen DEC sites ... (I've been told)

And, at DECville, it wasn't unusual to see people take their breaks
on the beach (next to the palais du congres) sunning themselves
  topless (bottoms are now required)
