220.0. "Cypress Cove, Kissimmee, Florida" by BANZAI::WASSERMAN (Deb Wasserman, DTN 264-1863) Tue Feb 13 1990 11:33

My husband and I and our almost-four-month-old son just returned
from a 4-day weekend at Cypress Cove, an ASA club near Orlando,
Florida. For those of you who have never been to a luxury-type club,
and don't want the expense of travelling to the Caribbean or Europe,
this is the one for you!

You can always get cheap airfare to Florida (although you will have to
explain why you're going to Orlando and NOT going to Disney, or maybe
you WANT to go to Disney. Personally, I'd rather sun and swim!).
The club has top-rate motel rooms for about $60/nite, possibly a little
higher for non-ASA members, and was even able to provide a crib for my
son. The facilities include a fantastic heated pool (80 degrees), with
lounge chairs, thatched umbrellas, etc., a very large whirlpool,
tennis, shuffleboard, kiddy playground, a full-service restaurant, plus
a little convenience store. Oh, I forgot, you can also camp if you
    want for probably around $20/nite.

This is a very large nudist park where many people live all-year-round
in mobile homes. YOu can, of course, walk nude anywhere you want on
the grounds any time of day or nite. The weather last week was sunny 2
days, cloudy-ish 2 days, but always warm enough to swim.

    Go and enjoy!

    Hi:

Sounds fantastic! Wonder if they accept Naturist Society Membership
    Cards?

I have been fascinated by that "kissimmee"

Don't know if membership in the Naturist Society will get you a
discount also. You can call and ask. In any case, you don't _have_ to
be an ASA member to go.

I think Kissimmee is some kind of Indian word. It's pronounced like
    Kis SIM' mee.

This is somewhat ironic! A couple of years ago, I was in Kissimme
for a couple of weeks and about the only thing I remember was an
    aligator farm.

I guess I should leave the 'blinders' home when I travel.

Does anyone happen to know if single males are allowed in this resort?

I can call and find out, but thought I'd check here first.

 Thanks

220.7I think single guys are kosher now..BAGELS::SKINNERhappy wearin nuthin but a smileThu Aug 13 1992 00:3711
Interesting.. I was there in May for a Singles Weekend and met LOTS of
single guys who are members.. I can't believe you can't get in as a
single man, they are trying to change their image..

Jim, call Linda, the Singles coordinator, and tell her Robin from
Boston is recommending you. I'll bet you get in! ;-) I really don't
think it's still their policy anyway, but definitely call and check.

BTW, I LOVED it there, thought it was much nicer than Paradise Lakes..

    Enjoy!

Well, I'll check that out and report my findings right here!

 Thanks, Robin..

Single males allowed with membership in ASA or similar organization, which at
 this point I don't possess.
