| I'm afraid that this will depend on how far you are willing to commute.
There may well be places that I don't know of, but the only c/o camps,
parks, resorts, etc. that I know of in that area are Solair and Birch
Acres.
Solair has been mentioned in 12.10 and .14. If you have a Connecticut
map, you would get from Waterbury to Solair by taking Interstate 84 all
the way east to where it crosses into Massachusetts. Solair is a few
miles south of Southbridge, Mass.
I have never been to Birch Acres, but have heard good things about it.
It was the site of the Eastern Naturist Gathering in 1986 (1987?). It
is located in Hancock, Massachusetts, in the Berkshire mountains, right
on the New York border, about 10 miles NW of Pittsfield, Mass. You
would probably get there by taking Highway 8 from Waterbury north to US
20 in Massachusetts, and then taking US 20 to Pittsfield.
I would guess that either drive would be between 1 and 1-1/2 hours.
The absolute distances are about the same, but you would have I-84
almost all the way to Solair, so the drive there would probably be a
little faster (unless you had to drive through Hartford at rush hour).
