Years ago on "Dragnet", Friday and his partner Gannon were called
to the house of an elderly lady who was complaining long and loud
about her obscene neighbor who was sunbathing in the nude. She
insisted that he be arrested. Friday told the lady to calm down
and he would investigate the matter so he went around to the back
of the house. There he found a step ladder propped up against an
8 foot high stockade fence and the lady said. "Now, you just climb
up the ladder and see for yourself!"

I seem to remember an article in the Cape Cod Times a number of
years ago about the use of the outer cape beaches around Truro and
Wellfleet for nudists. It stated that the real damage done was to
the sand dunes and cliffs which are protected, to guard against
erosion. Now it was not the beachgoing nudists who threatened the
dunes and cliffs, it was the people who came to look through
field glasses from up on the cliffs, who were damaging the grass.
How do you solve the problem? Do you prohibit the gawkers from
trampling the grass, no, you arrest the nudists on the beach.
Only in America.

But it's NOT only in america, it's also in Europe!! While I was
stationed in West Germany I would go to a place called the Sand
Pits ourside of RHEIN MAIN airforce base in Frankfurt and shed clothes
and relax amongst the other nature lovers and at least 3 times in 2
weeks the POLEZI would harass us. Nothing really happened until a clown
with a video camera fell off a 60 foot cliff and hurt his back.
Then they closed the beach for a couple of weeks and arrested anyone
near the place. The summer dragged after the closing...
