2.3Some helpful hints about keyword creationMUTTON::BROWNThu Feb 20 1992 16:1816
    Keyword creation is usually done by the moderators in this conference,
    but should you happen to have the opportunity to add a keyword to your
    note here are some guidelines that we would like you to follow:

    1) Before creating a keyword, consider if there are other words that
    might already have been created that would apply to your note and if
    so, use them rather than creating a new one. For example, you may be
    about to create the keyword Birmans, but we already may have the
    keyword Birman.

    2) If your keyword is more than one word, use an underscore (_) between
    the words rather than a dash (-) This way, folks checking keywords
    will always know which to insert when doing keyword searches.

2.4possible problem on MUTTONMUTTON::BROWNset home/cat_max=5 girls 2 boys 2 hhpsWed May 13 1992 19:547
    Our facilities group is working in the air conditioning here in WRO for
    the next few days and this may cause some trouble with MUTTON. We had
    a problem with MUTTON going down yesterday for a short time due to the
    temperature in the computer room. Please bear with us for the rest of
    this week.

2.5Welcome to our new Moderator, Jan CordesMUTTON::BROWNset home/cat_max=5 girls 2 boys 2 hhpsWed May 13 1992 20:1814
    In view of my upcoming absence from work, Deb, Mary and I decided that
    it would be a good idea to add another moderator to help with the
    moderation of this conference.

    Since Deb and Mary are both on the east coast, and MUTTON is here on
    the west coast, finding someone who is local to MUTTON was a priority.
    We also wanted someone who was familiar with the Feline notesfile. I
    am very pleased to let you know that my sister, Jan Cordes, will be
    coming aboard to help out in my absence.

    I will still be logging in from time to time to keep an eye on things,
    and to keep up with all of you.

    Jo

Folks,

Feline is back after a small glitch, which Deb is working. You may have
to see your unseen maps, but that should be about it.

Thanks for your patience...

2.7We're back!JULIET::CORDES_JAFour Tigers on My CouchWed Aug 05 1992 18:296
    Feline is back. Sorry for the delay. Seems MUTTON fell off the
    network or something and the system manager is out of the country.
    I managed to talk a kind soul into rebooting the system and here
    we are back on line again.

2.8See Jan, this doesn't happen to just you!EMASS::SKALTSISDebThu Dec 03 1992 19:5315
    Someone (I'm sorry but I didn't notice the name) entered a note in
    158.46 about a Rabies clinic in Nashua, NH. I attempted to move it
    to note 32, the "upcoming events" note. In doing so, I got the infamous
    "Record not locked" error. The note didn't seem to get moved to
    32.last, and doesn't seem to be in 158 any longer, either. 158 stil
    shows 46 replies. I'm hoping that either the notes server is stacked up
    and this move is just being delayed (and will show up after I enter
    this so as to make me look crazy), or that the weekly conference
    convert/reclaim will make it visible.

    In the interm, if the person that posted this note would re-post it
    (in note 32), I'd apreciate it.

    thanks,
    Deb
2.9Notes lost - moderator frustratedJULIET::CORDES_JAThree Tigers on my CouchThu Dec 10 1992 13:5325
    Just so everyone knows what happened earlier in the week (I'd have
    posted this yesterday but I had car trouble and couldn't get into
    the office and I haven't figured out how to make notes work from the
    PC at home yet (no editing capabilities or notes keypad).

    Anyway, the boot node for MUTTON has been having trouble. MUTTON
    was down and it's system manager was out of town. Since most of the
    group residing on MUTTON was TSFO'd there wasn't anyone available to
    reboot the system. I managed to get a message to the system manager
    and as you can see, he was able to reboot remotely.

    Now, I don't know if the following problems are related to any specific
    hardware problems or if I'm just having an unlucky day but, I've lost
    two notes I was trying to move. I got the infamous "Record Not Locked"
    message. I haven't been able to recover the messages at all.

    The first was 455.3 by NTWRKS::GASKELL. I was trying to move it to
    the end of topic 256.0. If you remember what you said or have a copy,
    can you please repost the note.

    The second was 458.1 by JUPITR::KAGNO. I was trying to move that note
    to 159.0. Again, if you have a copy or remember what you said, please
    repost.

2.11Conference Move PendingJULIET::CORDES_JAThree Tigers on my CouchMon Jan 11 1993 16:2313
    Just wanted to give you all a little advanced warning. The owner
    of MUTTON will be moving back east at the end of January and MUTTON
    will be going with him. Jo was going to ask him about hosting
    the conference on MUTTON from the east coast but I'm not sure of
    the outcome of that request.

    In the mean time, I've talked one of my system manglers into hosting
    the conference. I don't have a move date or the name of the node
    we'll be residing on yet. I'll let you know as soon as I have more
    detailed information.

    Welcome to FELINE at its new home (WRO10C). Everything should be
    working fine now. Let me know if you have any strange problems
    with the file.

    We are currently able to have FELINE_V1 (the archived file) in two
    locations for your reading and reference pleasure. ;^)

2.15Problem fixedJULIET::CORDES_JAThree Tigers on my CouchWed Jan 27 1993 13:1510
    Okay, the "Exceeded enqueu quota" problem should be fixed. I
    apologize to everyone who got kicked off the system while we
    were trying to fix it but it was necessary to bump folks off
    FELINE to fix the problem.

    Everything should go relatively smoothly from here on out.
    (Insert crossed fingers here.)

2.16Problem fixed again, let's not try for 3 timesJULIET::CORDES_JAThree Tigers on my CouchWed Jan 27 1993 14:518
    Okay, we've had to fix this blasted enqueue thing again.
    Again my apologies to those who were bumped off in the process.
    We've set the quota to some outrageous amount (higher than
    another system we have a notesfile on that works fine) and
    we'll see how it goes from here.

2.17Recurring Enqueue Quota ProblemsJULIET::CORDES_JAThree Tigers on my CouchWed Jan 27 1993 17:2517
    Okay, third time is the charm. We're working the enqueue problems
    again. I have 3 people brainstorming to figure out what is causing
    this problem. We set the enqueue quota to 600 after the first time,
    then jacked it up to 1000 after the second time and we're still
    having problems. It should have worked at 600.

    Anyway, we'll continue to work the problem until we get it resolved.
    Please be patient. We're trying very hard to get this fixed.

    Also, please send mail to Jo Brown (MUTTON::BROWN) or Jan Cordes
    (JULIET::CORDES_JA) if you are having problems. Please DO NOT send
    mail to MUTTON::SYSTEM or MUTTON::CHINN. The file has moved from
    MUTTON and the system manager now handling that cluster would prefer
    not to receive mail on this file.

2.18Please remember to check keywordsJULIET::CORDES_JAFour Tigers on my CouchWed Jun 09 1993 12:5612
    This is a reminder to all the FELINERs to remember to check the
    keywords listing before creating a new topic. If you can't think
    of what a keyword might be and want an entire listing with associated
    note numbers, please type SHOW KEY/FULL and hit return.

    In many cases it is easier to only put a partial keyword in with a
    wildcard character to pull up as many options as possible. For
    example, typing SHOW KEY/FULL CAT* will bring up all the keywords
    that start with CAT.

    Hello everyone,

    A lot of people have probably been wondering about my personal names
    lately and my "count-down". Well, on Sunday, August 22, I'm getting
    married.

    I will be on my honeymoon starting Friday, August 20. I'll be
    returning on Monday, August 30. In the mean time, I'm sure that Jan
