42.1Soap Jigsaw PuzzlesCAPITN::CORDES_JASet Apartment/Cat_Max=3Wed Aug 14 1991 19:2725
    Now you'll find out why I started this topic.

    From San Jose Mercury News, Living Section, Wed., August 14, 1991
    (Reprinted without permission)

    TRENDS - What's Hot

    The Soaps Clean Up - Is that mysterious new character Rod's mother?
    Rod's lover? Or just Rod in disguise? Sometimes it's hard to fit the
    pieces of a soap-opera plot together.

    But now you can get some practice by putting together soap-opera jigsaw
    puzzles. Milton Bradley has 300-piece puzzles based on "All My
    Children," above (picture of Palmer, Nina, Pheobe and Cliff (I think)
    dressed in period costumes not included here), "One Life to Live" and
    "General Hospital," all for about $3. They feature stars from the
    shows and are probably a lot less confusing to figure out than the
    stories.

    Of course the puzzles are flat and not very realistic and pretty much
    two-dimensional. But look what they had to work with.

42.2Susan Lucci's Hair ProductsYOSMTE::CORDES_JASet Apt./Cat_Max=3..uh,I mean 4Thu Oct 03 1991 13:0218
    And now, the information you've all been waiting for (okay maybe
    one or two of you have been waiting for it)...where to get Susan
    Lucci's Professional Hair Care System.

    I happened to catch a few minutes of The QVC Gift Shop (shopping
    channel) and they were selling this in sets or individually.

    Susan Lucci's Professional Hair Care System (Retail value $85.00)
       They were selling the set for $35.92 when I was watching
       The various pieces of the set were also sold individually

    Part number is A-6190 for the set, didn't catch the individual part
    numbers.

    QVC Gift Shop phone number is 1-800-345-1515. Perhaps they could give
    you more information if you're interested in purchasing the products.

    Thanks Jan! I was one of those people who wanted the info! I think
    that if Susan REALLY DOES use these products that I'll try them! I
    heard something about this months ago, and figured it was a joke or
    rumor!

    Thanks again!

42.4More hair careYOSMTE::CORDES_JASet Apt./Cat_Max=3..uh,I mean 4Thu Oct 03 1991 16:5015
    Bonnie,

    All the people that called in and got to talk to Susan were raving
    about how great her products were. In fact one lady used it on her
    mother's hair and over time her grey hair has regained alot of its
    original red coloring. Apparently the products are supposed to
    contain some very healthy ingredients. I believe it was the elixer
    for hair that this woman was raving about but I can't be certain.
    Also, they discussed the scent that people were indicating they liked,
    it comes from Japanese pears which are, I guess, part of the ingredients.

    Let me know if you purchase anything, and how you like it.

    Hi Jackie----> No, I haven't called yet. I want to wait for the right
    time to ask. I was going to last weekend, but I saw this BEAUTIFUL
    Carousel Pony statue in a store last weekend, and went home telling
    Dave that I ***HAD*** to have it, and that I'd wait til Christmas to
    open it if he'd get it for me. He got it & put it on my bookshelf, so I
    took it that he wanted me to have it right away. I figure I'm doing
    pretty good here, so I'll wait to ask about the hair care products til
    THIS weekend. I don't HAVE to ask, but we're doing a lot of spending
    these days, so I'm being careful.

    I'll letcha know if I call!

42.15How to Host a Murder - with AMC charactersYOSMTE::CORDES_JASet Apt./Cat_Max=3..uh,I mean 4Wed Nov 20 1991 14:1810
    In case some of you didn't notice...in this month's Episodes
    there are a couple of advertisements for a game called "How to Host
    a Murder" that is played using AMC characters as the characters
    in the game.

    It appears that this game is available through several toy stores
    in addition to being available through Episodes. Toys R Us is
    one of the stores. I don't remember the rest, but, if anyone requests
    info, I'll try to remember to bring the magazine in and post the
    complete details.
