    This topic is now for discussion of noting etiquette.  Please feel
    free to add some examples/suggestions of etiquette to this topic
    as I'm sure I won't remember them all right now.
    
    Notes Etiquette
    ---------------
    
    Using all upper case characters (LIKE THIS) is considered shouting.
    Please use a mix of upper and lower case characters.
    
    If you are going to "flame" something, please preceed your flame
    with <FLAME ON> and end it with <FLAME OFF> so we know that you
    have finished.
    
    When reading notes it is impossible to see the author's facial 
    expressions to know how a note was intended to be read.  Something
    written in humor may be taken as serious.  Please be sensitive
    to the wording of your notes.  Using notes facial expressions 
    such as ;-) will help the reader better understand the tone of
    a note.  (If anyone has a listing of the most used expressions,
    please post it in this topic.)             
    
    You may "bash" things/characters in your topic, but, please be 
    sure you are bashing the characters and things and not your fellow 
    noters.
    
    Please use a spoiler if you are doing same day updates.  To do
    this type a Control L before you type your update.

    A member of our noting community recently pointed me to where I could 
    find a list of "smiley faces".  Some of these may be the same as the
    ones Lisa Dugal posted in 6.2, some are different.  So, now we have
    quite a wide variety of faces to use.
