790.0. "Denver Area CD Stores" by CSC32::J_PARSONS () Tue Jun 16 1987 14:07

    Are there any good CD dealers in Denver? I've looked all over Colorado
    Springs, and there doesn't seem to be much here. I'll be in Denver
    this weekend and hope to find someplace with a good selection of
    new and used discs at a reasonable price. (The used discs are a
    prime consideration). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Music For All has a reasonably good classical selection, and
    a $2.00 off per CD sale now on certain labels.

    Listen Up (I think that's the name) has a good general selection,
    but full price.

    Recycle Records in Arvada has good prices, and reasonably good
    rock selection.

        Be sure to check out SoundTra(c)k (I think it is without the
        c) -- they must have a dozen stores in Denver. If you haven't
        discovered C&S Audio in the Springs, give them a check before
        going to Denver -- they don't give away much on prices but
        they have treated me right with regards to service -- be prepared
        for a DENON or NAD push. (who would complain about that anyway?)

    Thanks for the replies. What I'd really like to find in Denver is
    someone who deals exclusively in compact discs, not a record store
    which happens to have some CD's in the store. The ideal store for
    me would be something similar to {Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco}
    Compact Disc. I realize these guys tend to be a bit higher priced
    on their new CD's but they always have a good selection of used
    discs and they give very fair trades on used discs.
790.4How about Independent Records?CSC32::J_FELDMANcixelsyd TON ma ITue Jun 23 1987 21:135
    Have you been to Independent (downtown) lately? Their CD stock
    is larger than their album collection. They are also currently
    knocking $2.00 off most cd's.

    The Prelude downtown CS is currently selling everything in
    stock at 20% off for purchases over a 17 dollar. This is,
    I believe, the last week of the sale.

    Sound Warehouse (on Evans near DU) used to have a great CD stock
    but average prices.
