I don't know what Glass Plus will do to your disk, but be careful
if you use alcohol. I used a DEC recording head and disk cleaning
kit to clean one and the result was good except for one minor detail.

When the alcohol got onto the label side it started to dissolve to
the paint used to make the label. I use the alcohol only on stubborn
spots and use a soft felt pad, like the ones that come with binoculars,
to clean dust and finger prints of the disk.

Make sure you wipe radially; that is, across the grooves. If you
wipe circumferentially, like you would on an LP, you might leave
tiny scratches or smears, and the laser can't handle such marks.

Another thought is to try lens cleaning tissue, I'd imagine (although I don't
know if its true) that it would be less abrasive.

you also may want to try an CD cleaner I have one manufactured by
NAGAOKA (CD-1101C) which consists of an spray and a chamois duster
which has worked well.

Alsop, who do a good job with VCR heads, have a wet CD cleaning system
that I have seen in Strawberries in Nashua. It was between $18.00 and $19.00.

I use also use a wet cleaning system.. I breathe on them and wipe radially
with a soft lintless cloth.. Works ever time..

Watch out for a CD washer that wipes in a circular pattern. I
have seen this in some audio stores. A very bad idea. Don't
remember the name, though.

The ALSOP "appears" to wipe in a circular path. If you look more closely,
however, the circular path of the brush overlaps the circumference of the disk
like a Venn diagram. The movement of the brush, although circular,
approximates a radial sweep over the CD.
