I picked up an album by these guys (or rather this guy) the other
day. I think the name of the album is "Rough". There's some real
good music on it. Lately I've been hearing two other songs by this
"band" and neither of them are on the album I have. One of the
songs is called "3 Stars" and is great. I was wondering what the
title of the album this song is off of, and just how many albums
does this band have out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
in advance.

Ultra Vivid Scene are based around one guy, Kurt Ralske. They had
their debut album about '88 (just called Ultra vivid Scene) which
was pretty good. Lots of synthesized rock, though it started to
mellow out towards the end. However, tracks like `She Screamed'
and `The Mercy Seat' (not to be confused with the Nick Cave song
of the same name) are very good indeed. A few weeks ago, they
released their second Album, `Joy - 1967 -1990' which is a bit
rockier than the first, but quite good. The track `3 Stars' comes
from this album. Hope this helps somewhat.

Thanks! I'll be looking for it over here in the States.

On the album I have it lists only one guy (the guy mentioned
in re.1). I would imagine for touring he "rents" a band.
