742.0. "Looking for a Soundtrack to a movie !" by MACNAS::GGLEESON () Tue Sep 18 1990 19:41

    This note is a request from my sister (the things I will do for my
    family). She is looking to find out where she could get the
    soundtrack for the movie, "An American Warewolf in London".

    She says that she has tried everywhere to get this soundtrack but has
    been told that it is now out of print (if that is the correct
    terminology).

    If anyone knows where I could get a copy of this for her in Ireland I
    would be very grateful or the address of anywhere in the UK where I
    could get a copy of this would help also.

    The only thing I know about the soundtrack is that Van Morrison sings a
    song on it !

    Thanks,

    Regards,
    	    Gary

    The best I can suggest, is to get every (and I mean EVERY) song which has
    'moon' in the title, then you'll have the soundtrack.

    		Unhelpful Andy.
742.3MASALA::SWRIGHTxTue Sep 18 1990 22:387
    It also has the track "Bad moon rising" on it..
    This is by The Credence clearwater revival
    And you can still get this track from "the golden oldies" record label
    but ill have a look out for the soundtrack album.

    There is at least one record shop in London that specialises in
    soundtracks only.

    It's in Soho.

    Try the yellow pages

742.7Try DRESS CIRCLECSCMA::BURKEMon Oct 15 1990 19:146
    Try DRESS CIRCLE in London. It is very near Covent Garden and they
    have a large stock of Musicals and movie soundtracks. They also
    mail order so give them a call.

    Good Luck,
    Jeff
742.8RETURN OF A GREAT SOUNDTRACKBRUMMY::LOGISTICSFri Oct 19 1990 15:347
    By any slight chance does anyone know
    were to get the Star Wars soundtracks??
    I've tried everywhere and no seems to have it,
    except a couple of my mate's and there's no way that they
    would give up this master piece.

742.9Don't know where you can get the soundtrack, but..IGETIT::BROWNMBASS-ICly WARPed!!!Fri Oct 19 1990 15:4311
    Great soundtrack! I used to listen to it all the time. `Leia's Theme'
    was my favourite. Also the track that was recorded in the `bar' that
    was played by all in aliens in the film. `Return Of The Jedi'
    soundtrack is great too. There's also a track on there by the Ewoks!
    When I listen to these soundtracks it reminds me of different bits of
    the film and when I was so into Star Wars that I trained to be a Jedi!
    I swear I moved a ball bearing with my mind, but it did take me 2
    hours!

    Now I think I have one at home - but I may have binned it as my sister
    had scratched it quite badly, though it was still playable. I'll check
    it out and let you know.

    Everyone knows I haven't got a job. (Except my job is passing all the
    work I have to all the other people around me. Therefore I'll make a
    good Supervosor one day.)

    Uncoventionality.

    matty,

    ps. I do need a watch. I'm walking round with one of those bloody
    straps all the time.

    Hey, the watches came in, BUT the new engineer got mine! I made one up
    out of all the pieces!

    Yes those straps are very stylish indeed. That's why I have 2! Didn't
    DEC commission Jean Paul Goatyer to design them?

    BTW. I know it's Gautier really.

742.22Company watch.IGETIT::BROWNMBASS-ICly WARPed!!!Wed Oct 24 1990 15:209
    Hi Tim, These straps are what people wear when they are handling
    static sensitive devices such as Chips (IC's) or PCB's. The Strap goes
    on your wrist so you can connect yourself to ground. The watches also
    have the same purpose, but everyone wants one 'cause they look OK (like
    a Swatch). But as Paul A. will tell you, you can only have one if it's
    relevant to your job.

    I see, I think, the idea of a free Swatch lookalike sounds good though.
