1347.0. "The Who - Hyde Park ??" by FORTY2::WILKINS () Fri Apr 26 1996 15:40

I have a friend who is a fan of "The Who".

Apparently there is an open air concert at Hyde Park later
this year and he want's to obtain tickets.

Does anyone know anything about this...a phone number
would be great. Or is he on drugs *8-) ??

    	Many thanks,

    	Kevin.

This is the 'Mastercard Masters of Rock' gig mentioned a few days ago.
Havent seen ticket details yet. Its Townsend and Daltrey, plus session
guys I assume, doing Quadrophenia. Clapton and Dylan are playing also.
Should attract an enormous crowd of like 50,000 or so, into an already
congested London, so obviously creating less traffic hassles than 21000
    peeps trotting into rural Oxfordshire....

Anyone know any other ticket agencies that are handling this. I've
tried the 3 numbers listed earlier, but they have all sold their
allocations ? Anyone know if it's now sold out ?

From my daughter Tomi "tag1@keene.edu", any ideas on meaning of `sussed'?

Anyway, I'm in dire need of your assistance.....again. It started out
as a little game, but as usual, has been blown way out of proportion.
I'll explain later. In any case, in order for me to "win" this game,
which is absolutely imparitive, I need to know what the word "sussed"
means. It's English slang, so it's not in any of the dictionaries.
The only time I've heard it before is in a song by the Who in the
contexted of "...I got you sussed". Any IMMEDIATE input would be
    greatly appreciated.

Basically "sussed" means worked out, as in "I've got you sussed" - I
have your number, I know your game/what you are up too etc etc.
Does that make sense? If not I will try to elaborate. I think you will
find this is the meaning in the Who song.

    Also.......

The Police used to have powers to stop and search - This became known
    as suss, as in suspicion.

I can check the Brewers 20th century phrase and fable tonight to verify
    the above if you want.

Isn't sussed - suss something to do with savvy ?
And comes from French "savoir" "to know" ?
