You should be able to find the "Compilation" album that's floating around. I
got mine in Our Price about 3 years ago, so they may still be doing them. It
didn't have an official name, - just Mother love bone - and comprised of tracks
from their only full length album - Apple (which was released after Wood's
death) - and tracks froma couple of EPs they did.

I think they released "Capricorn Sister" as an EP, but you can find it on this
compilation anyway. The CD has a purple cover, with larger white print on it.

I strongly recommend it.

    must see this video!!!

Polygram in the US) - I can't promise, but I'll try and find out...

    Did you get this album?

I think there should be a MLB note in the conference.

Other albums to get "Temple of the Dog" This was an album dedicated to
Andrew Wood and featured Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell, Stone Gossard,
    Jeff Ament etcetcetc.

Totally excellent and nearly better than "Apple" as I think the MLB
    album has been known as.

It's a really interesting sequence of events that led to the whole
MLB/Soundgarden/Alice in Chains/Pearl Jam thing. They all used to live
with each other and stuff (though not in the biblical sense).

I found a book in smiths one lunchtime and started reading it (as you
do) but didn't have any cash to buy it. Went back when I was more
flush and it had gone. Any one got it out there?

"Apple" was the album's official title. "Stardog Champion" (I think) was what
the compilation album was known as. There isn't much to say about MLB that
hasn't been said. Wood diesd before Apple was released, and that was it. It
was a very good album, and I still listen to it. However, there's not much
milage in the topic!
1279.13Stop it now!CHEFS::BARKERNThis town needs an enemaThu Jul 20 1995 16:505
Except that they featured heavilly in the film Singles: Chloe Dancer
kept popping up and there is quite alot of MLB Graffitti plastered
outside the club. (which I believe is supposed to be Shine!)

Yeah, well they were in that because it was based in Seattle. Also, Jeff
Ament, Eddie Vedder and Stone Gossard appear in the film as Matt Dillon's band.

Ament also did all the typefacing for the credit's (or wrote them
anyway) They are exactly the same as the Love Bone and Temple of the
    Dog alum covers.

On this subject of Pearl Jam past and present. Did anyone ever get the
Brad Album last year. Top Whole. (stone's other project)

Nigel (who watches anything featuring Briget Fonda in religiously as a
    matter of sexual practise)

I've got the Brad album, it's one of my top shelf ones.
You should also take a listen to Mad Season - Above
Mad Season are another of these project groups featuring
Pearl Jam guitarists (Gossard) except this time it's just
awesome since they have Layne Staley on vocals.

I don't have to say who he is do I ? You know, the lead singer of
Alice In Chains. Now there's a group...

I'll get that at the weekend (if I can find it).

Seattle is really quite insestuous wasn't. Sap has got everyone and
there dog on it as well. Probably my favourite little silver disk for
    a while.

Do I know who Layne Staley is?

Yeah, I got the Brad album. I didn't like it much at first (I think I had it
in 1993), but it grew. The lead singer also had an album out with a weird band
called Pigeonhed/Pidgenhed which was fairly errr....eclectic.

> Did anyone ever get the Brad Album last year. Top Whole.

I thought the album was called "Shame". Am I on the wrong track?
I got a 4 track single that was pretty good, and I'm sure
that was promoting an album called Shame, with a very wierd cover.

1279.20Yes, Guy, it was called "Shame" 8-)CHEFS::GEORGEMlived eht pihsroWMon Jul 24 1995 13:331
