1255.0. "Last Liners" by AYOV20::MRENNISON (Modern Life Is Rubbish) Thu Nov 17 1994 20:03

    First liners is dead, long live last liners.

    Same principle. I'll post the last lone to a well-known song. Whoever
    guesses the title and artist correctly gets to post the next one.

Duuh, try this one for size (it's spoken word at the end of the song, the last
lyrics precede the end of the song by a couple of minutes, I'll post the
lyrics if folks have trouble):

"I don't know where this one came from."

Re -.1

Here's the last words sung then:

Like a soul without a mind
In a body without a heart
I'm missing every part

(Honest, I didn't try to make it difficult, it just happened to be what I
was listening to at the time. Top 20 I think)

1255.26Any takers?CURRNT::PAYNE_AStupid ThingTue Dec 06 1994 19:255
    Well, a hint - or two. It was re-released a couple of weeks ago. Seems
    to appear in a number of magazines 'Top Ten Singles of the year'.

    If no-one's got it by tomorrow afternoon, I'll put in the last line of
    the East 17 single. At least Sandie will be able to get it then.

    It's not Deep is it?!
1255.28CHEFS::GEORGEMDan, shut up before I lamp you.Tue Dec 06 1994 19:463
HA! Dan reveals himself to be a teenybopping East 17 lover.

I always knew there was something strange about you.
1255.29FORTY2::HOWELLJust get to the point...Tue Dec 06 1994 19:481
    What, am I right?!
1255.30CURRNT::PAYNE_AStupid ThingTue Dec 06 1994 19:512
    Nope. You'll have to save yourself for East 17 tomorrow if no-one gets
    it.

    people how you & Aaron used to annoy your neighbours

    PS: I can only ever remember the chorous of songs
    anyhow !!
1255.32time up!CURRNT::PAYNE_AStupid ThingWed Dec 07 1994 16:366
    Well, you had your chance. It was 'Seether' by Veruca Salt. See, I try
    and be all contemporary and no-one gets it. And no, I'm not going to
    subject myself to East 17 just so I can put the last line in here. I
    lied about that bit.

    Someone else, PLEASE take it away......
1255.33FORTY2::HOWELLJust get to the point...Wed Dec 07 1994 16:416
    >>I lied about that bit.

    Dooh! That's not fair!

    Does 'the line' have to be the last line in the entire song, or just
    the end of, say, a chorus?
