1114.0. "Lightning Seeds" by GRANMA::FDEADY (that's as green as it gets..) Wed Feb 10 1993 17:46

I recently heard a song titled "Life of Riley" by a band named (I
think) the "Ligtning Seeds". They sounded like a UK band, possibly from
London, has anyone heard of them, or know of their music?

    			thanks,
    				fred deady

The Lightning Seeds are actually only one chap, Ian Brodie, who used to
be the producer for Echo & the Bunnymen. He's had one other hit called
    ... damn - forgotten it.

    Barry,

Indeed you did see ole Tel Hall in the video. I believe he co-wrote the
track (Sense?) and maybe some of the others on the last album. That
track Sense was a corker, in my opinion. But what's that worth?

Is his name not Broudie rather than Brodie?

Also, I have a 12" from about 84 by a band called Care, a great song called
'Flaming Sword', and I do believe that that was an earlier incarnation of Ian
Broudie.
