| I have it, and so far I like it better than her last (Days of Open
Hand). I think she's been trying to distance herself from the "folk"
tag for awhile. She has often claimed her main inspiration to start
performing was seeing Lou Reed so I guess her current direction isn't
that surprising. I have to give her credit for going even further in
the pop direction after the last album stiffed.
To some extent, I miss the more acoustic thing, but the hip-hop
production touches do compliment her dreamy vocal delivery.
Here in the US, she has not been so successful ("Luka" was like an
abberration in the pop charts) and this new album has not gained her
much more airplay yet.
