Randy Newman did a hilarious parody of ELO about ten years back. This
might mean smt to someone out there.

| Nicky Campbell played their (ELO2) record on his programme last night.
He was very doubtful that anything good would come of it as Jeff Lynne
is not involved and ELO was mainly Jeff Lynne. Bev Bevan the drummer
is there. Nicky played a track from ELO2. It sounded really dated
and seventiesish and I cringed. I believe some Russian Orchestra are
also involved.

| I seem to remember Bev Bevan being employed by Tony Iommi (well, who
has'nt been? ) to the thump the tubs for Black Sabbath. I guess it
was around the time The Sabs dragged Ian Gillan into the mire and
toured with the legendary Stonehenge stage set. The said prop was
later to provide Spinal Tap with that hillarious parody. Also, was'nt
that Violinski chappy part of E.L.O.? The gang have obviously hit
hard times.

tune!
