Can anyone tell me anything about "All about Eve"? I listened to a few
tracks of theirs recently and they sounded really good, but I've never
heard of the band. Where are they from, are they touring, that kind of
thing?

All About Eve have been around for a few years now. They've released
two albums, the first just called 'All About Eve', and the second
called 'Scarlet and Other Stories', both of which come highly
recommended. The songs range from almost Folk stuff (She Moved Through
The Fair) to the quite rocky stuff (In The Meadow).
I think they're from Leeds (ish) and they used to hang around with The
Mission a lot, and supported them on a few tours. (If you listen to a
Mission track called 'Severina' the woman doing all of the wailing in
the background is Juliet, the singer from 'All About Eve'.)
I've seen them a few times, and they are excellent. Juliet's voice is
amazing live, only beaten by Lisa from Dead Can Dance.
I don't recall hearing anything about them for at least 9 months, and
sometime during the past six months, the guitarist has left to join
Sisters Of Mercy, so they may have split.
Sorry for bringing the bad news, but you can console yourself by
listening to the albums. 8-]

Does anyone know what's happening to All About Eve then???? Have they
split up? I also can recommend their live shows, Julianne has got an
amazing voice.

Any recent news on this band? Did they release a third album? Are they
still with us?
