Dave Manning <acmdtp@zeus.unomaha.edu> asks about the titles of the 4 Ride EPs.
Since they've only made 3 that's a bit hard to answer..., but here is their
complete discography instead, for all of those interested:
(I've heard rumours about a new EP planned for release very soon, but it hasn't
 been released yet, has it??)

New EP is called (or includes a song called) 'Today'.
Heard it on the (French) radio yesterday, so I suppose it must have
    been available for weeks. :-)

Yes it was released on Monday and is called Today Forever, it includes
tracks called Unfamiliar, Today, Sennen and Beneath. Its more laid
back or is that layed back (never any good at spelling) than some of
there previous EPs but is excellent none the same.

Well last night I went to see Ride at Kilburn National and after
waiting three quarters of an hour for a friend to turn up and getting
cold, bored and annoyed the evening improved.

As we walked in Slowdive were onstage, what I caught of their set,
about 20 minutes, was excellent running through the several of the
tracks on their two EPs and others. All the press hype about them
seems to be true, they write beautiful, fragile songs which build as
they progress, the sound was wonderful and they made use of this fact, I
can't wait to see them again. They have been likened to the Cocteau
Twins but I find them infinitely better and I do like alot of CTs
    stuff.

Ride took the stage and as usual began with Polar Bear and finished
with Seagull. In between they covered all but Here & Now from the Fall
ep, Chelsea Girl and Drive Blind from the Ride EP, Perfect Time and
Like A Daydream from Play, all the tracks from the new Today Forever
EP and from the album apart from those above, Vapour Trail, Decay, and A
Different Place. That says what they played but doesn't convey the
atmosphere of the gig, it was magnificent, energy filled, powerful and
loud yet still the delicacy of some of the songs came through. I've
seen Ride many times now but they always play well live, there is
always a good atmosphere and they never seem to disappoint.

I wasn't planning on seeing Lush again but...

Lush do something like that too?

Lush released all three of their EPs on one album along with an extra mix
of Scarlet and the Abba cover. This is after I shelled out big bucks for
the imports.

Gotta dig those funky sleeves though!

"Today Tomorrow" is now in the stores. I just love those import

Hey, Jim - I don't suppose there's any chance that the third and fourth

Going back some here - Rides second Lp was crap ,the title summed it up
They did go blank!!- Thier first was brilliant - proberly the finest Lp i
    have ever heard.
And the new one, Carnival of Light, is pretty good too.
Going blank again is an abortion of an LP, it should have just been
    released as EP's.

Hope i havent upset anybody - but after the 1st Lp - the second was
always going to be an anti climax - but it was worst than that, it
was'nt even an an anti anything.

    G.
