"Words for the Dying" John Cale

"New York" Lou Reed (I think this was Jan 89)

    "Strange Angels" Laurie Andereson

"The King abd Eye" The Residents (Best of the bunch _by far_)

"Raw like sushi" Neneh Cherry (also excellent)

Jeez! They're all Americans (apart from Cale). And I have the new
Wedding Present and new Michele Shocked but have not listened to them
    yet.

It could be remembered that old fogeys Neil Young and Bob Dylan
receiverd excellent reviews for their new albums...but to these ears
there was not much new, even if it was "entertaining".
