375.0. "Paul MacCartney Comrade" by 45830::MORGAN (Many are cold but few are frozen) Fri Mar 17 1989 17:52

Does anyone have any information as to the availability or not of
a CD/LP by Paul McCartney called "Back In The USSR".

I'm fairly sure that it is a compilation of Beatles hits sung in
    Russian.

Is it on sale in the U.K. ??

Anybody see Paul on telly the other night ? He sounded rather sad
refering to everything as 'man' and 'cool' in his best Liverpulian
accent. Quite strange for a man who has always claimed to be in touch
    with his roots.

Also, his bass was at least a quarter tone flat for the first couple of
    songs.

Well I saw the made-by-MTV one on the BBC (?) a little while ago and
was not well impressed. Then last night I watched a different one on
Channel 4 and wondered whether it was the same person (band????) they
were featuring. I half expected to see the MPL Communications Ltd on
the end credits (ie McCartney's own publicity) but it was down to
someone called Juggler Productions. I might even go out now and buy the
LP. Come to that, I might just buy tickets for the tour. What did MTV
    do wrong?

    regards
