| I know that in the UK some time ago, a Gil Evans album of Henrix
cover versions was released, maybe this is where you'll find the
tune. Can't remember what it was called, but I'll have a look around
for you this weekend.
Does anyone know if there is an lp available of the show that
Sting played in Italy with Gil a couple of years ago? I saw some
dodgy bootlegs a while ago, but they sounded awful.

'Up from the skies' is a Jimi Hendrix song that was recorded by
Sting/Gil Evans at the same time as 'Little wing'. It was released
as part of a 3-inch CD about a year ago, that also includes 'Englishman
in New York' and 'Someone to watch over me' (yes, the Disney song).
It may still be in release...
Rolf, it's been many years that I haven't talked to you! If you
can't find the CD (or 12-inch) I can record it for you whenever
you (or somebody else from Brasil) comes to Boston.
