141.0. "British Music Fair - correct venue !" by WARDER::KAYD (If music be the love of food .....) Thu Jul 07 1988 13:02
As stated in note 139 (which I have now deleted), the British Music
Fair is once again upon us. This annual event will be taking place
at the Wembley Conference Centre, London (*not* at Olympia as previously
stated - hence the deletion) between the 22nd and the 24th of July.
This is the main UK event of the year for the musical instrument
manufacturers, and all of the big names will be there. It's a great
opportunity to try out all of those things that you can't ever afford!
I'll be there collecting my usual 50 glossies, 30 badges and 6 free
plectra !!
Have fun,
Derek.

141.1 | Anybody got a Banjo for sale? | OFFCLU::MMCMULLIN | | Wed Jul 13 1988 13:12 | 12 |

I'm going to be in London that weekend & I intend calling in
with the intention of buying a 5-string banjo. I wonder if the
prices are less/same/more than one would expect to pay in the
shops?. Also any pointers to music shops that would have 5-strings
at a reasonable price would be appreciated.
Send mail to GAOV08/EGAV01::MMCMULLIN or reply here if you think
others might be interested.
Thanx in advance.
Maurice.
