123.0. "Jazz? Reading? When?" by PUGH::MATT (Matt le Ratt) Thu Jun 23 1988 16:46

    Hello Folks,

Yesterday I was perusing through the high quality mechandise
in Cavaliers, when I just caught the tail end of a festival
announcement on 210. It was concerning a Jazz festival in Reading,
    sometime in July I think.
    Now as a) I wasn't very awake, and b) I dont listen to 210
does anybody know anymore about such a festival?

    Matt.

It's a Real Ale and Jazz festival, being held in King's Meadow on
the weekend of 2nd or 7th July.

Love the R.A. bit and can cope with the jazz, can't wait.....

Should be good..I often go to the turks head on Tuesdays to see
the jazz band , and someone said t'other day that they'd heard
that the new Landlord was going to discontinue this free entertainment!
    does anyone know for sure?

    Cheers,
    Brendan.
