What do you peeps think about the surge of "mimicky" records being
    released now days??

"Loadsamoney" is one example. Are they in iy just for the money??

When there's nothing there to start with, something has to fill
    the gap!

In other words, it's sad that there are precious few good songs
to compete with the 'novelty' records, except for one or two exceptions
like Aztec Camera, Danny Wilson or Prefab Sprout.

Actually, I think the Harry Enfield and Liverpool FC records provide
some light relief from the real dross around just now.

Just a personal observation...do we *have* to hide every line
    individually?

Keith, long day, headache, in need of a pint...
75.4it's all crap anyway!CHEFS::WALLSDCan YOU name the Banana Splits?Mon May 23 1988 12:427

with all the trash around in the charts these days, a bit more trash
with a little bit of humour added in is OK. I mean I'm sick of hearing
Loadsamoney but it was a laugh when it first came out!

Which category? Loadsacr*p or best No.1?

I think its a pretty good number one. I started off hating them
but now I like what they do. The best charity record to date, and
    a good cause too.

    Ian.

    A decent No.1? Easy.....Fairground Attraction's "Perfect".

In the midst of all the sampled banality, an acoustic triumph, ladies
    and gentlemen.

    Ian!
