4429.0. "purveyor kit location for openVMS" by NETRIX::"bodenstedt@suosw3.suo.dec.com" (Martin Bodenstedt) Wed Jan 29 1997 10:58

Hi folks,

where can I find the INTERNAL Purveyor WebServer kits for
openVMS AXP ?. I need the original Backup savesets and not
the zip file (I do have the unzip-axp.exe but not the thing
called "bilf" to convert the zip file to the correct record
format)...

thanks, Martin

The Purveyor Kits on the Software Distribution Server in the Released
Kits area are ZIP'd so that you can unzip them and preserve the file
characteristics. This is spelled out in a note at the beginning of the
Release Kits Page. If you did not get the proper version of UNZIP, then
  it will NOT unzip properly.

If you are OpenVMS V6.x or greater use the following on the file.

    fix512 == "set file/attribute=(rfm:fix,rat:none,lrl:512)"

where the 512 should be changed to be either 8192 or 32256.

Do a backup/list on the saveset; if the block size is wrong you'll get a
    CRC error.

re .1 :
the note at the top says "copy unzip from teco::sys$public"...
that node has been unreachable for the last couple of days...

when using netscape to get the files, they seem to be copied
in stream format and not in binary, hence my problems...

if you'd offer the kits on an ftp server, I'd have full control
over the copying process (I could do it in binary) and have no
problems...

re .2:

I'm going to try that...

TECO has moved. It's new address is 7.985. You can use 8153::sys$public:
to get to it for now. I need to figure out why it doesn't show up correctly
  in some of the databases.

ANCHOR still lists TECO in Area 9, fwiw. I don't doubt that you changed
TECO's address through appropriate channels. Clearly, someone else has
dropped the ball. (I've been through this with KEPTIN; it stinks).
