792.0. "WIN95 clients can't connect, system freezes" by CIVPR1::copras1_port5.cop.dec.com::WHITEDA (Fun fun fun) Sat May 10 1997 21:24

We have a site that is running Digital Clusters V 1.1 on NT 4.0 running on two 4300 DPs. It seems
that whenever they are trying to connect with win95 clients running the client software to the
Cluster Share their system for the most part freezes.

They still can move the mouse and use Ctrl-Alt-Del to break out of the connection\Explorer. The
odd thing is they have other Win95 clients that connect with no problems and all of the NT clients
connect without a problem.

The customer has reinstall serveral times and has went through and deleted all REG entries of
Digital clusaters on the client, before reinstalling. none of this has worked on the set of PCs
that are having the problem.

They can connect to the shares Via the NT share without problems.

According to the Site the PCs are all identical has far has hardware and Protcolos installed.

Any ideas on what the problem might be ??

Yes, this is note is an elboration. I didn't think I put in enough information for anybody to
form any opinions.

This is becoming a real issue with the customer
