702.0. "v1.0a still orderable ??" by NETRIX::"Eddy.Wang@hgo.mts.dec.com" (HKTS) Thu Mar 20 1997 15:25

Anyone knows if v1.0(a) still orderable if v1.1 released in April ??
If customer still using NT3.51 for awhile. Besides, customer using
NT3.51 concerns if CSP2 can't compare with v1.1 on NT4.0.

BTW. Anyone try dual SQL on NT3.51+CSP2 ??

Clusters Service Pack 2 is code identical to V1.1, with the exception of IP
failover, which is not supported in the 3.51 base system. Clusters Service Pack
is available now on the web.

702.2Ordering "Older" Kits for NT 3.51 CustomersMKOTS3::HAHNSBU Americas Technical Support GroupWed Mar 26 1997 19:5321
But how about new customers who are running NT 3.51 and are purchasing
NT Clusters for the first time? They still need to be able to purchase
a QB-53V9A-SA kit from the SSB. Normally you can order older versions
of software products by asking for the Archive Group at the SSB and then
specifying which version you want. Is NT Clusters V1.0 being handled this way?
If so, I assume it's just the "original" V1.0 kit, and they will then need to
pull SP2 down from the web.

A related question:

The Prioris Cluster Kits (FR-BA356-NT and FR-CK310-RF) and the StorageWorks
RAID cluster kits (SWDKT-DC and SWIKT-DC) all include the NT Cluster kit
(QB-53V9A-SA). Given that V1.1 began shipping March 14, if a customer was to
order any of these cluster kits today, would they receive V1.1? And, if so,
how does a NT 3.51 customer who wants to run V1.0/SP2 get the associated
cluster kits? Same deal as above - order from SSB Archive?

Thanks,
 Dave

    In answer to .2:

The 1.0 bits are on the new CD's along with the 1.1 bits (so you just
    order the 1.1 kit)
