37.0. "Let's Play TV Trivia.." by MEOC02::CASEY (VAXphone=MEO78B::CASEY, Melbourne) Fri Jan 01 1993 09:13

Now then.. let's see how much we really know about TV.

This is our new TV Trivia topic. I will start it off with a question
and whoever successfully answers that question then has the
reponsibility to ask the next question. In as much as it's possible,
please endeavour to ask questions that ALL contributors will have a
    fair chance of answering.

Soap was just a much better show all around.

But I digress -- there's probably a "critique" subtopic around here
    for that..

I believe it was Georgia, also.

Definately a southern state (not New York) by the looks of the mansion.

Maybe they never specified a state? After all, what if he were
supposed to be the governor of, say, Massachusetts? His character was
portrayed as a complete buffoon. Wouldn't the real governor of the
state in question have just cause to be concerned?

On another note, did Benson become governor by the end of the series?

How many seasons did it run? My guess is eight.

I managed to find an appropriate Usenet group for this question and
asked the same thing. At first, there was about the same mix of
answers on there..then I got some very confident people telling me
the same as in .65 -- the state was never specified. In fact, they
bent over backwards to avoid giving a state name. One episode had
to have some city names mentioned and they used very generic
names like Springfield..., and for the capital they used Capital City.
