370.0. "Real World IV" by RANGER::MAYNARD () Thu Jul 06 1995 18:02

The house this year is in London. The housemates are a mix of Europeans
and Americans, none of whom are particularly interesting or likeable.
There is a Brit with a "Puck" personality, who tries to piss people off
just to get a reaction, but other than that, I'm finding this version
of The Real World pretty lame.

Yeah, they are getting more contrived with every cast. It's starting
to become a stars and their supporting actors/actresses kind of thing.

2 or 3 shows and there are people in this cast you haven't heard 3 words
    from.

My college roomate is associate producer of this show, so I try to
watch, but Neal is so obviously fake, it gets sort of tough. I thought
I couldn't be more unimpressed by anyone more than Puck, but they
    did it.

Puck is still the worst. Did the producers go out of their way
to find someone this downright disgusting? Neal (the spiked
blond one) is just plain obnoxious and for someone who is supposed
to be so opened minded he sure thinks that ALL Americans are alike
and that is probably why he loves needling the American guy (can't
think of his name). Of course that doesn't stop him from wanting
to have sex with the American girl there. I have only watched it
twice but I don't think I will be watching it too often.
