I though last night's episode was average. Tuesday night's repeat
episode really cracked me up though. Overall this show and Seinfeld
are my two can't miss shows.

    Tuesday's episode was funny.

Thank goodness its not opposite Sienfeld anymore.

I enjoyed Tim Allen's stand up act and was pleased when they did the
    show.

I thought Wednesday's show was great, only because my husband has been
doing the exact same thing as Tim -- pursuing his own interests and not
getting his work done around the house. Sometimes humor can hit home,
    too!

It drives my 8 year old nuts that Wilson never shows his entire
face. I think Wilson is a nice touch and I love the mystery
    about him.

We sat less than three feet from Tim Allen, when he was doing his
stand-up routine, at a hotel down the street from Disneyland. He
had us rolling on the stage (since we were so close, there was no-
    where else to roll :^).

KLOS, a Los Angeles radio station has a daily comedy program called
the 5 o'clock Funnies. They used to feature Tim regularly. Everytime
I heard his voice, I envisioned a big, sloppy brut with his jeans
hanging down and his butt crack showing. Boy was I ever surprised to
discover he was exactly opposite of my mental image.

Although this show has it's funny moments,I just can't figure out why
the network went and renewed it for so many years in advance. It's like
telling us that nothing better will be coming along soon to take it's
    place. Depressing!

What's wrong with renewing a show that is consistently one of the
top rated shows each week? They have been renewed for three more
years which means that we don't have to worry at the end of the
season whether or not they will be coming back. Just read the notes
on Homefront and see what those people went through.

When this show first came out I didn't like it, but now I love it! I
especially like it at the end when they roll the credits and show the
outtakes - they really must have a blast working on that show!

Subject: 'Home Improvement' No. 1 with 'Seinfeld' close second
Date: Tue, 11 Jan 94 17:20:42 PST

NEW YORK (UPI) -- ``Home Improvement'' has a vise grip on the top spot
in the TV ratings but it is facing a challenge from ``Seinfeld,'' up to
second place last week from ninth the week before.
The A.C. Nielsen Co. reported Tuesday that ABC regained the No. 1
spot among networks, dominating four nights of primetime programming for
the week ended Sunday and nudging CBS into second place after a week at
the top.
New episodes of series dominated the top 10 with the exception of
CBS's Sunday night movie, ``Snowbound: The Jim and Jennifer Stolpa
Story,'' about a California couple and their infant son stranded in a
wilderness blizzard. It took the No. 10 spot.
ABC's tool-show comedy ``Home Improvement'' was No. 1 for the second
straight week with a household rating of 23.1 and a 34 percent share,
followed closely by ``Seinfeld'' with 22.5-33.
The 39-minute overrun Sunday of the NFL playoff game between the Los
Angeles Raiders and the Denver Broncos took the No. 3 spot with a 21.2-
34, followed by ``60 Minutes'' which slipped from its usual No. 1
ranking three weeks ago. ``Roseanne'' took fifth place.
The ``Cheers'' sitcom spinoff ``Frasier'' captured sixth place, up
from 16th the previous week, followed by ``Coach'' and ``Grace Under
Fire.''
The evergreen whodunit, ``Murder, She Wrote,'' took ninth place, down
from fifth the previous week.
New life was breathed into the NBC series ``Homicide'' Life on the
Street,`` which received scant ratings last season despite good reviews
and Emmy nominations. Last week's episode with guest star Robin Williams
was heavily promoted by the network and ranked 11th.
Each rating point represents about 942,000 households. A share is the
percentage of TV sets in use that are tuned into a particular show or
network.
ABC was tops with viewers on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday,
while CBS was the favorite on Monday and Sunday and NBC on Thursday.
ABC's average for the week was 14.1-22, followed by CBS's 13.4-21 and
NBC's 12-10. Fox made a showing with 7.5-11 with 15 hours of primetime
programming compared with the other networks' 22 hours.
ABC took top honors, as usual, for its evening news (11.9-21), up one
percentage point, with NBC second (11-19) and CBS third (10.9-19).
 ------
The top 10 programs for the past week, according to Nielsen, were:
	1. Home Improvement (ABC) 23.1-34.
	2. Seinfeld (NBC) 22.5-33
	3. NFL Sunday overrun (NBC) 21.2-34.
	4. 60 Minutes (CBS) 20.9-32.
	5. Roseanne (ABC) 20.5-30.
	6. Frasier (NBC) 20-30.
	7. Coach (ABC) 19.7-29.
	8. Grace Under Fire (ABC) 19.4-29.
	9. Murder, She Wrote (CBS) 19.1-27.
	10. Sunday movie, ``Snowbound'' (CBS) 18.2-27.

Last night's episode (2/6/96) had some great lines! The plot revolves
around the idea of Tim getting a vasectomy and the discussions between
him and Jill, him and the doctor and him and all the other characters.

Not that the subject is funny or the reasons for having the operation,
but the various ways they talked about parts that are normally not
talked about had us rolling off the chairs...

"adventureland" - and jill's response "what, you now have an amusement
    park between your legs?"

    "ping and pong"

Unfortunately I was taping Frasier so can't go back and re-watch the
episode for more of the lines. Definately one to watch again! It will
also be interesting to see if this makes the re-run syndicate.
