    Whew!  have you missed a lot!
    
    I'll try and put in a few nits about each character, the best I can.  I
    will aslo but it behind a form feed in case people haven't watched
    their tapes yet.
    
    
    
    Valerie went down to Mexico to help Dylan and this detective guy named
    Jonesy to get back Dylan's money from Kevin and what's her face.  They
    played up like they were big spenders and got in good with them and
    Jonesy managed to get access to Kevin's account numbers and simply
    transferred Dylan's money from Kevin's account into Dylan's account. 
    When the three of them got back to the U.S.  Valerie approached Dylan
    about getting paid for her services in helping them get the money back. 
    Dylan wrote her a check for $10K.  She wasn't happy with just that so
    she went to see Jonesy who got paid rather well from Dylan and she
    managed to sweet talk him out of some money as well.  A rather large
    sum apparently seeing she's moved out of the Walsh household and into a
    hotel and she bought a brand new sports car.  She also bought Rush
    Sander's part of the Peach Pit After Dark.  Since she got back from
    Mexico she has steadily been putting the moves on Donna's boyfriend
    Ray. 
    
    Ray slept with Valerie once and of course Donna doesn't know.  Valerie
    told him not to worry there were no strings attached, that she didn't
    want to be his girl.  She quickly changes her mind though.  And she
    starts to hound Ray and Ray wants nothing more to do with her because
    he really does love Donna.  She threatens to tell Donna but then
    decides she really doesn't want to hurt Donna.  So instead, she buys
    the Peach Pit After Dark and tries to use it against Ray by saying that
    if he doesn't go back to her bed, than he can kiss his singing career
    good bye at the Pit.  He says no and shows up at the Pit for his last
    show and his going to take off for a while to play other college towns. 
    After his performance he and Donna walk out to his truck and he tells
    Donna he's leaving.  She's upset but she knows that Valerie wants to
    bring in other bands (she blames Claire and David, mostly David for not
    sticking up for Ray and keeping him at the Pit).  He goes to tell her
    that he slept with Valerie but first he tells her that he loves her and
    she said she knows.  He then goes to tell her about Valerie and she
    said that because they loved each other, nothing else mattered.  They
    kiss and that's it until next week.
    
    David and Claire basically have just been hanging out the whole time
    and working on the Peach Pit After Dark.  Not much going on with them
    except this week you see David becoming friendly with one of the guys
    in the dorm.  The guys name is Lenny and he's a little weird.  Claire
    doesn't really like him.  He's suspected as the one responsible for
    thefts around campus and eventually for a rape that happened on campus. 
    Not much going on with David and Claire.
    
    Kelly has been really active with a Professor Finley a rather radical
    professor on campus.  She got sucked into his following after she
    attended one of his seminars after the fires where she got burned.  She
    falls for all the stuff he says and she is giving false hope that she's
    this really wonderful person and that she was spared in the fire
    because she was meant for greater things, etc. etc.  Well, Finley's
    tenyor is up at the campus and he organizes students to help him fight
    the administration so that he may stay on campus.  Brandon looks into
    why the Administration doesn't want to renw his contract and he finds
    out that there are some students and a lot of faculty that do not
    believe in the teachings of Finley and that there is some question to
    his methods.  Some folks believe he has a cult following.  Kelly gets
    really involved with the fight to save Finley and starts to blow off
    everyone including and especially Brandon.  Finley loses and he with
    the help of students and some of their parents, buys this huge house
    and starts his teachings there.  He's running an Evolution.  Kelly
    alienates everyone with her Evolving talk and Finley convinces her that
    she needs to break up with Brandon to be a better person.  Brandon is
    holding her back.  She comes close to breaking it totally off with
    Brandon but really doesn't.  Close but not final.  Brandon talks to
    Dylan about rescuing Kelly from this cult and he agrees to help but for
    Kelly's sake, not for Brandon.
    
    Brandon and Dylan find a guy that used to be involved with the
    Evolution and convince him to talk to Kelly.  In the meantime, Dylan
    goes with Kelly to meet Finley because she asked him to go and Dylan
    uses the opportunity to set Finley up.  He let's Finley know that he's
    got a ton of money and that he would be happy to hand it over to the
    Evolution if Finley could get Kelly to be with him again.  Finley tells
    Kelly that she and Dylan have this "thing" together and that they would
    be outstanding together in the Evolution and that basically, she should
    give in to him so that he become one of them.
    
    Kelly goes over to Dylan's and basically tries to seduce him and tell
    him that he should join the Evolution and that they would be great
    together.  Brandon and the former Evolution guy were in the other room
    and they approached Kelly and pointed out to her that Finley was only
    doing it for money and he was using her.
    
    Kelly wakes up and realizes that she is being used and she walks away
    from Finley and from the Evolution.  She and Brandon are not happily
    back together.  All her friends had a little get together in her honor
    and she thanked all of them for being by her the whole time.
    
    Steve hasn't really had much of a storyline, just popping up now and
    then in the episodes.  This week he went to meet his dad for lunch and
    was really angry at him for selling the PEach Pit AFter Dark, that is
    until his dad gives him a commision check and now Steve's all happy.
    
    Dylan helps Brandon save Kelly and now he's pretty much just getting by
    day by day.  AFter Valerie bought the Pit, she went over to his house
    and brought some pot hoping the two of them could celebrate her new
    acquistion.  He turns her down and she walks away angry.  As she's
    leaving she drops (on purpose) a "cigarette" for Dylan.  He just looks
    at it and puts it away.  Later you see him out in some type of park and
    he's trying to light the "cigarette" and he is unable to light it
    because of the winds.  Fustrated, he goes to see one of the guys that
    were in the dryout center with him and they talk about what's really
    bothering Dylan and it comes out that he is not fully over Kelly and
    the guy tells him that he has to let go of her and decide what he wants
    to do with his life.
    
    Andrea has not been happy with life at home.  Jesse is traveling and
    interviewing for possible positions that would mean they would have to
    move to places like Boise or Kansas City.  While Jesse was away once,
    Andrea went to a laundry-mat with Hannah and she met Peter (the
    doctor/intern) there.  He thought that she was babysitting Hannah and
    didn't know that Hannah was Andrea's daughter.  Peter gives Andrea is
    phone number.  THis happens shortly after Jesse had gotten girls' phone
    numbers while he was bartending, he told Andrea that flirting was all
    part of the job and it meant that he got better tips and that he had no
    interest at all in any of the woman.
    
    Andrea feels guilty about flirting with Peter and throws his number
    away.  Later, Hannah is sick so she takes her to the hospital where she
    runs into Peter.  Things have progressed from there.  Andrea now has a
    part time job at the hospital, thanks to Peter, and the two of them
    have been having little rendevous in linen closets.  They have not
    actually slept together yet, just some serious kissing.  This week,
    though, while Jesse is still away Peter rents a motel room near the
    hospital for a week and tells Andrea they can go there and she says,
    "Maybe".
    
    Well, that's kind of the jist of what's been happening.  Unfortunately,
    I'm sure I've missed bits and pieces but at least you won't be totally
    in the dark.
    
    Next weeks previews looked good.  Some psycho breaks into the beach
    house and holds Donna by knifepoint.  I hope they don't write into the
    storyline that she loses her virginity by being raped.  I will be very
    disappointed.
    
    

Thanks for the update. We watched last night and were a bit confused about how
Valerie got all that money. We didn't think that the guy had given her THAT much
and that she must've done something else to get so rich so suddenly.

    Did anyone else catch this week's episode?
    
    Wow.....That guy gave me the creeps.  There's one thing that bugs me
    though about this show....all the main characters usually appear at
    least once per episode yet when they don't there is no explanation as
    to where they are. I.e. This week, where was Kelly?
    
    Just an opinion, but boy, has Tiffany Amber Theisan put on weight since
    Saved by the Bell!
    
    I don't know how much longer this show can go...they are running out of
    storylines for a lot of the characters (Dylan especially).

(Now that I own a VCR, I can watch all sorts of educational TV.)

I've been watching the reruns and have two questions, please.

1)  Didn't Jesse used to be black and younger?  I have vague
memories of him as such, but I've only seen the show once or 
twice before.  

2)  When Dylan told Brandon's parents that Valerie was much 
worse than Brenda, what did he mean?  All I knew of Brenda was
that she went off to college somewhere else and was miserable.
I thought she had gone back to California after that.

    Hmmm....let's see, Jesse is Andrea's boyfriend/husband, right?
    I think he has always been played by the same actor, and I think
    he has a Mexican/Spanish background in the show.  There was lots
    of controversy about the differences in their heritage when they
    decided to get married, and again when their daughter Hannah was
    born.

    I think the Walsh's were referring to the independent nature
    of both Brenda and Valerie.  Dylan has dated both Brenda and
    Valerie, so he was probably referring to the fact that Valerie
    is a lot more deceitful, and/or conniving than they ever portrayed 
    Brenda to be.  Course, Valerie usually gets away with it, too.  :)
    
    fyi...Brenda went back to Minnesota to go to college with some
    of her friends that she had grown up with.  She realized after a
    short time, that she did not belong there, and she went back to
    LA.  She did enroll in CU for a short while with the rest of the
    gang, but she then got an offer to go to London to an acting school.
    She occasionally calls or gets referred to by one of the gang, but
    she is not on the show anymore.

    Did anyone tape last week's episode (11/8/95)??  I thought I did but
    there's something wrong with my VCR and it didn't tape.  If anyone has
    it I would be REALLY greatful if I could borrow the tape for just one
    night to copy it.  I work in Salem, NH and live in MA.  I'll be glad to
    pick up the tape wherever.

    I think I saw that the season premiere for both BH90210 and Party of 5
    will be on August 28.  Both will be 1 hour long.

    Everyone will be back.  Supposedly we're going to see a darker side of
    Brandon Walsh and that there will be some new folks too.  Someone that
    is supposed to be a "handful" for Valerie.
    
    I hope this season is better than last.  I can't see this show going
    anohter season after this year's.  It's loosing momemtum big time.

    I'm moving out to the HLO area on October 1.  My 90210-pal has moved
    away and my boyfriend hates it...  Anyone want to get together
    sometimes and watch it?  It'd have to be at my place or at your place
    with my dog along.  She's terribly addicted...  I could tape it for a

    O.k.  what is it with Tori Spelling?  Get a real hair style, puhleeese!
    
    Noticed that they still have Randy Spelling guest starring on occasion
    (must be nice to have daddy be the producer!).  Also noticed that they
    introduced a couple of other characters in this week's episode. (Guy
    who wants Brandon to work for the college tv station, for example).  I
    wonder how long they will last.  Remember the year they tried to
    introduce some "other" students while they were still in high school
    (one female and one black male , I think).  They lasted all of 3-4
    episodes.  This season seems to be moving a little slow...I wonder how
    long I'll manage to stay tuned?

    Donna and David thing had no value-add to the show whatsoever.

    Randy Spelling is Tori's brother in real life and he plays Steve
    Sanders half (?) brother.  He was the one that wanted to have a date
    with the brunette at the Beach Party "Reunion".
    
    I think both Donna and Val need new hairdressors! And I don't think
    Val's new fling is being honest with her.  Just a feeling.

    What I can recall, behind form feed for those who haven't had a chance
    to watch their tapes:
    
    
    
    
    Nat and his girlfriend (can't remember her name) we're getting married
    so her daughter was in town and Brandon and Steve were to be her
    "babysitter's".  Her mom thinks she 's  a professional dancer with a
    studio, but it turns out she's an exotic dancer at a night club.  Once
    she arrives at the airport, she latches on to Steve but then finds out
    he has a girlfriend, so she latches on to Brandon.  Brandon ends up
    having a one night stand with her.
    
    Kelly, Donna, Claire et al are all helping out with preparations for
    the wedding.  Donna and David are supposed to video tape it but David
    decides he isn't going to.  Donna asks to borrow the camera anyway and
    does the taping herself.  David gets dropped by the video company that
    he and Donna worked for.  He also moves in with the new guy that was
    introduced last week, the guy who wants Brandon to join the tv staff at
    the college.
    
    Valerie sees the bank guy (I'm sorry I can't remember his name either. 
    He mustn't be that interesting a character!) at the beach club and he's
    there with his wife and son.  She brazenly goes over and introduces
    herself to his wife and tells them they have a lovely son.  He gets
    mad at her and she asks him later if he is or isn't going to leave his
    wife.  He says yes.
    
    Kelly starts to get to know one of the patients at the home she
    volunteers at. 
    
    The big wedding event happens and as guest are arriving, Kelly and
    others are making comments about how "clingy" the maid of honor (Nat's
    girlfriend's daughter) is with Brandon at which time Valerie can not
    wait to tell Kelly that Brandon was with her the night before and he
    didn't come home.  This makes Kelly mad, partly because Brandon stayed
    with the girl but partly because Valerie couldn't wait to tell her.
    During the ceremony Nat's girlfriend's water breaks and she goes into
    labor (amazing how fast this happens on television!) and on the way
    down the hall in the hospital, she yells out that she will not deliver
    the baby until she is wed, so the priest quickly finishes the ceremony
    and she's wisked away to have the baby.  It's a boy! It was a nice scene 
    afterward with Nat and the gang.  He thanked them for getting the two of 
    them together and considers them family and loves them all.
    
    Oh, during the whole wedding preparation thing and the wedding itself,
    Claire declares to Steve that she's never getting married and blah blah
    blah.  He gets all mushy and talks to her about marriage and so on and
    so forth.
    
    I may have missed somethings, maybe someone else can fill in the
    blanks.
    
    Previews for this week show Kelly working at the home and doing
    something with the patient she's getting to know (trivia....he played
    Blossom's older brother) and there's some type of accident where Kelly
    gets his blood on her and she struggles with the possibility that she
    could contract AIDS.
    
     

    
    Ok, who's the bank guy?? I mean where have I seen him before...it's
    driving me crazy. I can see him playing another character and I just
    can't turn the image into words and get them out my mouth. When this
    happens it drives me crazy!!!!

    Thanks!  The description of the wedding reminds me of the season finale
    last Spring, when they all told each other they loved each other so
    many times my 90210-buddy and I thought we would hurl.

    The "bank guy" used to play on Knotts Landing. He was a cop and worked
    with Mac. He later had a relationship with Paige (can't remember if
    they married or not). I think he turned out to be a bad cop and ran
    away with some money - It's been a few years so I may be off on some of
    the details.

    Just got back to watching this on occassion.  Thought the whole
    storyline with the stalker after Donna was a little ridiculous
    but........so are a lot of other storylines on this show.  Yet, I still
    hang in there with it!
    
    I heard a rumor about Donna losing her virginity this week.  Anybody
    else hear this?
    
    Can they keep her true until the end of the series?
