90.0. "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" by MCIS3::DBEVERIDGE () Tue Mar 09 1993 02:52

This note is to discuss The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
Rumor has it that the original Indy, Harrison Ford will return
as Indy on the tv show in a two hour movie. Anybody know when?
Is this show ever going to return? Ilove this show and the
production of this show is excellent.

We saw them filming a "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" show when we
were in Florence, Italy this fall. It features the pre-teen Indy,
    not the older "young" Indy.

I can't wait to see it!

Did anyone catch this this weekend? It was really good. The storm
updates covered over the chase scene at the beginning. Can anyone
post an update on the chase scene? Will they replay this?

That's too bad. It was probably the best show on tv. Too bad
    it had bad ratings.

In this case it's unlikely that a letter writing campaign would do any good.
This is one of the most (or possibly the most) expensive series on television
and has consistently gotten very poor ratings. Why it got bad ratings consid-
ering the high quality of the show is a mystery (or mabye not, given the history
of quality television). Seems I heard that there were a number of other
episodes in the can that will still be shown at a later date.

I hope ABC decides to broadcast any finished episodes, even if
they serve as specials, or fillers in the summer repeate schedule.

I have to say I was disappointed in the last episode, where Indy and
"Ernie" fought over Giulietta. With all the real-life drama
of Hemingway's WWI experiences, the writers could have worked out
a better plot to have Indy and Ernie meet.

90.8TOHOPE::WSA038::SATTERFIELDClose enough for jazz.Tue May 04 1993 06:099

I agree with you Richard, the last episode wasn't one of the better ones.

If they do have some episodes in the can I'm sure they'll show them, as
the most expensive series on television each episode cost over a million.

The TV section in the Worcester Sunday Telegram said reruns would begin
sometime in June. I thought it said the sixth. Only for the summer
though. Didn't retain the accurate information as I never got to see
    the show.

Saw a brief promo on TV this weekend that said there will be a show

Did anyone catch this show this past Saturday night? I thought it was
really good. It takes place in Africa during WWI. Remy and Indy get
lost trying to get to their Belgian unit and find themselves hopping
trains and then hiking across Africa. Unfortunately, Indy has been
leading them in the wrong direction. There is some great comedy here
as Remy gets very upset. Anyways, they end up running into an older
British unit of experts which con Indy into not one but two adventures!

The first is to locate a huge gun that the Germans have been using. The
only problem is that it is on a train and very difficult to find!

The second is to locate and either capture or kill a German who has a
tremendous reputation! Great comedy and balloon chase!

Overall, a great show! A new one next week!
