    spoiler warning...

The research chemist who had developed the Ingenue formula was the
killer. He and his boss had had a ralationship in Europe. She left for
the U.S. and married her husband. She invited her former lover to work
for her, but he still loved her. He was an expert marksman, and he had
killed the woman private investigator, too.

Well there won't be any more Perry Mason's, at least not
with Raymond Burr. He passed away last night of cancer
at the age of 76. Sigh :-(

Actually when I heard this on the news this morning, they said he had
just finished up a Perry Mason movie last month, so there will be one
more. His death is a loss.

According to TV Guide, the (mumble-network) Friday Night Mystery
Movie will feature a movie with Raymond Burr, most likely the
movie he had just completed before his death.

Did anyone tape the tribute they had for him last week. It was his
whole life hosted by Bill Cosby. I'd like to borrow, or pay for a copy
    if available.

    Thanks,
    Pam

In case anyone's interested, they are rerunning the best Perry Mason stories
in the Boston area on Ch 7 (CBS) late at night. I believe that it's Sunday
night. Those were the ones from the 1st couple seasons of the original TV
show.

There was a lot of turnover in the original cast during it's run, mainly due
to illness and death of the actors playing the main parts. The best programs
were the ones that had Hamilton Burger, Lt. Detective Tragg, the original Paul
Drake, and of course Perry and Della.

Interestingly enough, those old shows still make for pretty good TV. Not
quite the realism of L.A. Law, but then L.A. Law doesn't have the realism of
Court TV. Once you get past the fact that Perry Mason was really a great
detective rather than a great lawyer, the shows are pretty good.
