335.0. "fcntl with lock exhauts CPU !!" by IB002::JULIANR () Thu Apr 10 1997 07:10
We are porting a UNIX app to POSIX for OVMS AXP.
Besides of other problems, we have found an abnormal behaviour in the
"fcntl" with locking. The CPU is exhausted and the system hangs. It does
not happen in Digital UNIX 4.0.
Has anybody found anything like this ?
Has anybody developed an interface btw. "fcntl (fd, SET_LK, flck)" and
"lockf" ?
How can we trace, from the OVMS point of view, the system behaviour
regarding file region locking ?
Best regards,
