| I was sort of surprised, because this is one of my favorite psalms and I
have it memorized as being a question:
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills; * from whence
cometh my help?
My help cometh even from the Lord, * who hath made heaven
and earth.
While the loss of the question would appear to have originated with Martin
Luther (because my Coverdale Psalter which preceded Luther's work retains
the question as do most more recent translations except the KJV), this
does not mean that the "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills" is not
also a reference to God's dwelling place on the holy mountain and on Zion.

| I think you may be right Richard. I looked this up in the Revised English
Bible which has it thusly:
If I lift up my eyes to the hills, where shall I find help?
My help comes only from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth.

The New World Translation is similar. These verses show a question
and answer. It's a nice reminder that we're never alone if we're
working in line with God's purposes.
"I shall raise my eyes to the mountains. From where will my help come?
My help is from Jehovah, The Maker of heaven and earth."

Thanks Richard. Nice to know I'm remembered. It's been awhile since
I've been getting into NOTES. Times have been hectic. I now have a
PC at home and can access the system at night so I hope to get in more
often in the future.
