    Indirectly, as he influenced Hans Kung in Kung's writings.

    What is the basic idea behind his theology? I understand they deviate
    from orthodox Christianity.
392.3Barth's "Justification"OLDTMR::FRANCEYUSS SECG dtn 223-5427 pko3-1/d18Tue Jan 21 1992 18:2517
    Barth's works are voluminous. His "Dogmatics" is twelve volumes
    spanning a width greater than any encyclopedia I've seen. He is also
    said to be "incomprehensible." by those attempting to understand him.

    Kung's "Justification" is a study of Barth's theology on said topic
    with a Roman Catholic response. The two theologians were best of
    friends around serious study of doctrine. Barth's inserted "letter" to
    Kung reviews Kung's assessment of Barth's works and Barth is surprosed
    how close to Roman Catholic theology is his own theology.

    For both theologians, Christ is and will always be central to
    everything we are and to whom we will become.
