| Well I met a lot of my Christian friends and I actually met my fiance at the
Singles group in my parish. WE had (actaully still have but I don't do much
with it) quite and active group of Catholics that got together to go out
dancing, eating, play volleyball, etc. I found this a real good way to make
friends. I also met Sue there and we are now engaged.

| Good question, I asked the same in the Christian notes file, asking
Singles what they feel, and I did get a lot of responses, but still I
am searching, it is hard to meet the right person, and going to bars
only bring trouble, I pretty much stay home cause of all the people out
there that are not Christians.
I would like to meet the right person, but in a nice place, I tried to
ask people if they wanted to start a Christian Notes File, but I have
no Idea on how to be a moderator, and I am thinking of the Retirement
package, but it would be nice to see one started, before I decide to
go.
I believe that there is someone for all of us, but we need to show
others, that we care, and I really am tired of the bar scene, it leaves
so much to be desired, I feel bad when I go into one unless it is a
lounge, and I am not alone, but for the most I am alone, so I stay
home, and Yes where do we go to meet other singles that is safe??
Good topic, hope to see more interested parties, cause Christian people
are good people.
God bless everyone
Barbara.
there must be Christian Singles out there

| Barb,
It seems that it might be a unique and difficult situation to be both single
and Christian.
I recall the period that I lived as a single as being sort of "out of
sync" with the rest of the world. I remember going to singles gatherings,
not bars, and nobody was really happy about the one commonalty that
brought them all together - their singlehood.
Something which I personally found eye-opening was the age range. Singles
in their 40's, 50's and 60's were as abundant as singles in their 20's and
30's, sometimes more so.
Perhaps someone could advise you offline as to the steps to take to set
up a notesfile.
Peace,
Richard
