Some of the publications that I subscribe to include:

    	o _Friends_Journal_, a monthly Quaker publication
o Pendle Hill pamphlets, published six times a year by a Quaker
    		study center in Pennsylvania
o _Creation_, which is Matthew Fox's magazine for Creation
    		Spirituality
o _The_Other_Side_, a magazine that concerns itself with issues
of justice from a Christian perspective (Daniel Berrigan
    		is a contributer).
o _The_Witness_, an Episcopalian magazine that also concerns itself
    		with justice issues
    	o _Tikkun_, a Jewish publication

Common Boundary - a magazine that explores the connection between
    		      spirituality, human development, and psychology.

Creation - same as Mike V noted... Publication which discusses issues
from the context of Creation Spirituality. (Soon to be
    	       renamed _Creation Spirituality_)

Both meet my standards of excellence in journalism and spirituality.

I forgot one: _Social Questions Bulletin_, published by the Methodist
Federation for Social Action (MFSA).

The MFSA was once an official appendage of the Methodist church, but
was ousted due to reactionary pressures during the McCarthy era. It
has remained a detached organization, thus avoiding political and
bureaucratic embroilments which it might have encountered by
reuniting with the church.

Peace,
Richard

That's it? No one reads Christian Century, or maybe Sojourners?

Unfortunately, I read the United Church Observer ( in Canada, the
United Church is a union of the Methodists, most of the Presbyterians
and the Congregationalists). I say unfortunately, because the Observer
is the usual liberal rag with a fairly exclusive focus on the problems
of the world -- and little sense of history or of the importance of
nurturing the community. This is now somewhat ironic as it has been
reported that the recently departed editor of this magazine (for 10
years) managed to involve himself with three different significant
others. In a certain sense, I believe there is a consistency here -- a
chaotic home life and a magazine which ignores many of the needs of the
    faith community.

    I also read Tikkun.

If time and $ were not an issue, I would read _Weavings_ and
probably _The Christian Century_ and would look for some
    feminist/womanist religious pubs

    John,
you sound as if you disapprove of both the "liberal rag" and its
former editor. You shouldn't support it if that is your opinion.
