295.0. "Signing out!" by FDCV07::CAMPBELL () Sun Feb 02 1992 12:47

Well fellow Disney fans, this is it! I've decided to take the buy
out and leave DEC Monday. I will miss this file most of all. Maybe
I can con, Len or Mike or Ruth or someone to send me copies of all the trip
reports. I really will miss them and all the news most of all.

If you ever have another dinner/get together, please someone send me
a note, I'd love to come. I will send Len my home address and phone
    number.

    Take care and think Mickey!!!!!

(If I get any good articles from mom in Florida, I'll send them to Len
to put in here, ok Len?)

    So long, fellow 'holics!

My contract ends tomorrow (5/1/92) and, like Pat (the basenoter)
I'll miss this file most, too. I used to save it for when I
needed cheering up - it never failed to do so...

Thanks again for all the help this file provided in my recent
quick trip to WDW. Have a wonderful time, all those going in
the near future, and happy noting to all!

295.2Goodbye and Thank You AllLUNER::D_BROWNThu May 28 1992 11:3918
			< A SERPer's Goodbye >

I wish to thank all of the contributors to this notesfile for
the many hours of entertainment, information, and knowledge which I
have gained from reading and extracting notes over the past several
years.
I hope that the little bit which I have contributed has helped
someone else as much as I have been helped. One of the things I will
miss very much is reading my mail each morning containing the notes
which were extracted each night and mailed to my account.

I think I'll call and order my Magic Years Club membership
today.

Goodbye, and Good Luck to all of you,
Maybe I'll CU @ WDW sometime,
					Dave Brown

295.3So Long...NEWVAX::DOYLEZip-A-Dee LadyWed Oct 28 1992 12:5026
The good news: I have a new job and will be leaving DEC on Friday.

The bad news: How am I going to get my 'itis cured??? I will miss
NOTES in general and DISNEY in particular. Because of this notesfile,
what started as "just a vacation" two years ago has become a
hobby. And on more than one day (especially in recent times) when
work wasn't going well, I knew I could look forward to reading
this conference, and putting my worries on hold for a while.

Thanks to all of you for making my trips vastly more enjoyable, and
providing information and trip reports to bring back all those memories
between trips. (Speaking of trip reports, I hope to enter a short one
before my departure.) Can I take a copy of VACATION.COM with me? :-)

    Thank you again!

    Regards,

    Ellen

P.S. I would appreciate it if anyone who knows of "outside" ways to
access Disney information could pass that on to me. I know the
names some of ways (ie USENET) but don't have the faintest idea
how to access them. Please call (DTN 339-5382) or E-mail! Thanks.

    Greetings!

I will be leaving the company tomorrow and wanted to take a minute
to thank everyone for their contributions to this notesfile.
When things started getting hectic I always looked forward to
grabbing a few minutes and visiting the "world" through the eyes
    of this conference.

I was also fortunate enough to get to disney and was able to
plan a very enjoyable visit due to information found
    in this conference.

Thanks everybody for sharing your experiences and special thoughts
    about such a "special place."

    Best wishes....

    Dennis Gravelle

P.S. Special thanks to Jim Pappas for all the info within the conference.

Well Fellow Disney Noters I will be leaving DEC at the end of April
and I just wanted to thank everyone who contributes to, and moderates
this conference, it is the best.

Where I am going may interest you, for this file I guess you could say
I am going to work for the competition! I will be moving to Orlando
and working for Universal Studios in Animation control.

I am pretty excited about it and I know this next month will fly by.
I will give my Orlando address and phone# to interested Disney noters
and maybe we can get together when you come down to visit.

295.8A Great OpportunityCUPMK::SCOPAWed Mar 31 1993 11:3917
    Rob,

As always we hate to see a member of our Disneyholic family leave but
on the brighter side for you there is an exciting opportunity waiting
    for you.

Oh to work and live in a warm climate and be involved in an industry
that brings a lot of joy to a lot of people. Oh to be rid of the TFSO
    Specter.

So Rob I'm sorry to see you go, happy that you have something to go
to, and JEALOUS because of where you are going.

Do the best job you can at Universal....we want Universal to push
    Disney to the limits.

295.9Now its time to say goodbye.....BJ6000::DAVEOutlanders, Do it AgainWed Sep 01 1993 13:5718
Fellow Disneyholics,

I'd just like to take a moment to say thanks and goodbye to everyone here.
I've had lots of fun reading and participating in this conference. Wish I could
have made one of the get togethers.

September 8th will be my last day at Digital. I'm leaving for a new position
with Open Software Associates in Nashua. Conveniently enough, my getting this
new position coinsides quite nicely with the trip to Florida I had already
planned to start on the 9th. Jen and I fly down via United Thursday night for 4
days at the Vacation Club.

If people bribe Skip Williams, he might transcribe an oral trip report, won't
you Skip ;-) ;-)

Good luck and think happy thoughts

295.12GOOD-BYE and best wishesASABET::KUMPELMon Nov 08 1993 17:3525
Dear Fellow Disneyholics,

The time has come to say good-bye. I have submitted my resignation and
Friday 11/19 will be my last day here at Digital.

I know it's been a while since I really participated in this file but I
usually managed to keep up on the reading (usually 3 weeks late). This is
one of the things that I really going to miss. My new company does not even
have EMAIL let alone anything like Notes. Not even gateway access. (Possible
sales)

It has also been a while since I have visited the "HOLY LAND" but you may
have noticed my login for a 94 visit. The ongoing info in this file has been
invaluable over the years (not only for me but my friends as well) and I will
really miss it.

So long to you all and best wishes.

Bill

P.S. If anyone is interested my node name is going to be deregistered which
means that someone can have it. It just happens to be

    Bill,

Good luck and remember....when you need to escape from the stress and
doldrums all you need to do is look South.

Thanks for participating and who knows....maybe we'll meet again on
    the internet.

295.16Another mod on the moveHDLITE::WILLIAMSIt's a duck blur...Mon Dec 20 1993 14:3025
Hmmmm... well, now it's my turn...

I'm (voluntarily) leaving Digital to go to work for a company called
Viewlogic here in Marlboro. I start my new position on Jan. 3rd and
I'm outta here the end of this week.

As many have said before me, I'll miss this conference quite a bit and
it's not just for the information provided here; it's for the people.
Whenever the job got a little too stressful, I could always count on
this notesfile and all of you for a message or two to perk me up.

The good news is that I'll still be in touch because Viewlogic is on
the Internet and my wife is also a frequent reader of Disney notes,
though she doesn't like to admit in public being married to a rabid
Disney loon like me.... :-) And yes, that means you'll get a trip
report from me too after our May trip to the World.

The only thing I regret is not seeing Ruth's trip report before I go.
Sorry, Ruth, Mike *made* say that!! :-) :-)

But all joking aside, I wish you all great success in achieving your
personal goals. And may you have a great holiday and a fantastic New
    Year!!

    	Hi folks,

In two weeks I will be officially signing off from Digital to
start work for a new company in Waltham. I can't tell you how
much I've enjoyed this notesfile over the years and how much info I've
gained through reading it. I wonder if there is a way I can get into
the file through internet?!?!? If not then I'll have to go elsewhere
for my Disney fix I suppose. Once again, thanks everyone for your
    contributions to the file.

    Thanks

295.17Jim Pappas: Resigned from DigitalWREATH::SCOPAMon Jun 13 1994 18:5818
About a month ago Jim Pappas called me at home and told me he had been
offerred a job with another company. This offer was very lucrative and
Jim put a lot of thought into whether or not to take it.

After a week or two Jim decided to accept the offer. It was with INTEL
and it meant moving his family to Oregon. Jim asked me to not say
anything until he officially resigned from the company.

His last day was Friday, June 10, and a few days before then I had
asked Jim to put something in here saying good-bye to everyone.

Jim said he wasn't good at that but he would make an attempt. It
probably got lost in the shuffle.

Anyway, Jim Pappas has left the company, the conference, and the
moderators. When I get his E-Mail address I will post it.

Well, after 16.5 years with Digital, I've submitted my resignation, and
have accepted a senior position as a marketing manager with EMC Corp.
This is entirely my decision to leave, and I'm leaving with no package,
    no regrets, and fond memories.

I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY going to miss this conference, and all of the
comments and information that all of YOU have provided.

I wish Digital and all of you good luck in the future, and maybe I'll
run into you down at WDW one of these days.

Today's the day for writing Notes farewells... I'm leaving Digital
after 7.5 years, and SEi (where Digital outsourced me) after about 6 weeks,
this Friday, 2/10/95.

First of all, you people have cost me a lot of money!!! :-) My
wife was a DECtemp, and read this file a lot. When she left Digital, I
was in charge of keeping up with Disney notes. As a result, we have been to
WDW almost every year for several years (annual passports tend to make you
do that). No, there's never been a trip report from us. That's why I've
basically been a read-only noter. :-) I had planned reports from the last
two trips (10/93, 9/94), but neither one got done.

And so having admitted my guilt, I am just going to say thanks for
all the good advice, the "Backstage Tour dress rehearsal" as a result of a
note here, the money you've _saved_ us, everything. It's been great.

See you at WDW. I've let the APs expire, unrenewed, but we'll probably
be back in Aug. 97 for our anniversary. We'll be the ones having breakfast in
EPCOT, our favorite park.

	Brian W.
295.22Bye...NOVA::FEENANJay Feenan - Rdb EngineeringFri Jun 16 1995 16:1033
Well I actually left Digital back in December as the Rdb Product was
sold to Oracle Corp. During this time period we have had full access
to the network and although we still physically work in the ZK facility
probably for more than a year the two corporations have agreed that we
    will leave the Digital network.

In my conference notebook there are a number of entries...almost all
database related...but the one that I enjoy most is the Disney
conference. I delayed my first trip to WDW until my children were all
older (4-5...1990) and never thought the planning would ever get me
hooked on the whole topic. Since then I've been to WDW 3 times with
the family and another 4-5 times by myself during business, rowing
trips [I'm an advid rower outside work], and even ran the Disney
    Marathon.

Part of this enthusiasm has been fueled by the fellow noters in this
conference. I've learned from you all and hopefully some have learned
from my entries. As in business I'm terrible with trip reports....I
start them and never finish them. I have one left over from the Disney
Marathon, that I found on my laptop the other day. I will finish this
and enter it since I think it was a unique Disney Experience that
    people might draw upon.

At the end of the month I will be cut off from the conference. I've
met a number of people in the conference and will try an keep in touch
via internet. If anyone is planning a trip in January next year please
give me a yell as I have already integrated the WDW Marathon into my
    rowing schedule as cross training.

    Cheers and good luck,

    -Jay

295.23Bye!NOVA::LUNDTue Jun 27 1995 17:3922

I also left Digital back in December with the sale of the Rdb Products
to Oracle. We'll be off the net the end of this week; after that time,
I can be reached at clund@us.oracle.com..... But will remain in ZKO2
    for awhile.

I've been cleaning up my notes entries, and this is one of the last
to go. Hope to have time on Friday to read the latest just before
the cutoff! I've really enjoyed having access to this notes file,
participating in it, entering many trip reports, etc. I will miss
    this notes file the most!

Luckily Jay Feenan sits 4 offices from mine, so we can keep our
    Disneyitis alive!

Here's to many more visitor signin's, trip reports, and all the
latest on new attractions, resort hotels etc!

It's a small world after all, It's a small world after all....

    	Bye! Annie

Now it's my time to say good-bye.

I've been reading this notes file since it was created. It is the one thing
about Digital that was hardest to leave.

Last May I started working for Oracle Corp. Today is the last day I'll have
access to Digital's systems.

I've learned alot thru this notes file. I'm planning on going to WDW in May
1997. Sorry, I'll miss the b-bash.

I can be reached at mgulliks@us.oracle.com
