239.0. "Lyrics from Spin and Marty?" by 16BITS::DELBALSO (I (spade) my (dog face)) Mon Jan 14 1991 17:39

The topic on Disney music was generally a discussion of what's available
on CD so I took the liberty of starting this.

I'm interested in the lyrics for the Theme song from the Adventures of
Spin and Marty from the original Mickey Mouse Club Show. This was the serial
story about the city kid (Marty?) who was sent to spend the summer on the
kids' dude ranch. I can remember only a small portion of the lyrics (gimme
a break - this goes back over 30 years to when I was but a child).

It was something like:

Way out west on the Triple-R-r
        Yippee-yay-ay, Yippee-yo!
Horses are the best by far-r
        Yippee-yay-ay, Yippee-yo!

     (That's all I can remember)

Any help? Does anyone know if this old serial is available on tape?

Thanks,
-Jack

Way out there on the Triple R
    Yipee ya yippe yo
The horses are the best by far
    Yippee ya yippee yo
So saddle up boys and saddle up well
and listen to the story that I have to tell
yippee ya yippee yi yippee yo

    Spin is a cowboy yes-er-ee
    yippee ya yippee yo

    (mind block here....)

I'll have to enter the rest tomorrow, unless it comes to me by the end
of the day... I can almost sing the whole song in my mind too, that's
what hurts! I have a copy of the Mickey Mouse club album at home, if I
have to I will listen and refresh my memory!

Sorry I couldn't be more complete...
