I don't believe it is available on video tape in the US but it is on
laserdisc (imported from Japan). I bought my copy from Sight & Sound
in Waltham, Ma. Hope that helps.

VHS Copies of "Song of the South" are in some stores in Japan.

Yesterday, when I was browsing at big CD shop in Shinjuku (the biggest city
in Tokyo), there were no copies of it, but at another CD shop and Disney store
both in my neighborhood, some copies were there.
 They were limited publication.

I'm wondering where in Japan you are going...since in some cities, there
are Disney stores---the best places to get it easily.
Anyway, perhaps it will be near some big cities. You'll be able to get it
at some department stores(toy section or music section), or big CD shops,
or very big book stores.

We have three types of copies,
	1. one that is all dubbed in Japanese (no subtitles)
        2. one that has both of Japanese and English voices. (no subtitles)
        3. one that has English voice and Japanese subtitles.

Only 3. has English title "Song of the South" on it's cover, and the others
have Japanese title "Nanbu-no-uta" described with kanji and kana.

All of them have the same price, and are a little more expensive than those
in US, perhaps around 3,800yen depends on the shop.

Hope you have a nice time in Japan.
