I called Old Key West Resort and for about $43.00 they will bring
character cake, balloons, party favors, etc to your resort room.
I assume other WDW resorts do the same.
Also, they told me that most of the WDW restaurants will provide
a birthday cake for free.

| My youngest daughters birthday was celebrated at Disney twice. The first time
we went to Poly. and had a character breakfast. She was only six at that time
and was overwhelmed by the experience. Her fav. character (Minnie) was also
there and so was mine (Goofy). Having mentioned to the supervisor at the desk
that it was my daughter's birthday, she arranged for a carrot cake to be
brought to our table with one of the characters and a "Happy birthday" song.
Since we had a very pleasent time at the Poly, we went back there for dinner.
Nisha mentioned to the waiter that it was her birthday that day and that she
had had breakfast there with Minnie, the waiter behind the scenes went and
fixed it for the live band to play "Happy birthday" to her again. And guess
what, at the end of the meal, another carrot cake was brought to her.
Last year we were at Disney during her birthday and had character breakfast at
the Wilderness Lodge. This was also a pleasent experience for her. She has not
forgotten both character breakfasts nor the going on the stand.
So depending upon the age of your boys, a characater breakfast would be an
excellent start to the day. Mind you, you do have to book early for these.
