55.0. "Disney Merchandise" by ATE012::CLAUDE (Claude G. Berube) Wed Mar 22 1989 11:17

I seem to have misplaced my Disney Merchandise Catalog. If anyone has
one, can you tell me if they offer the Mickey Mouse Golfing Hat through
the mail (baseball cap with a Mickey Mouse in golfing attire). I had
purchased one at the Disney Inn Pro Shop when I went in '87 and it's
starting to get a little delapitated (wear it too often at my son's
little league) and would like to replace it. I know the store at the
Burlington Mall didn't have it back in November.

Just went through my copy (3-4 weeks old) and could not find any
hat that fits that description. A variety of hats are shown here
and there but mostly Disneyworld hats, MGM hats, etc. Found a page
with"golf merchandise" showing Mickey (w/ golf attire) on shirts,
golf bag, putter, golf balls, towels, etc ..... but no hat with
    this.

The phone number for ordering is (407) 824-4718. Maybe give 'em
a call and ask if it's still available and not listed.

Know what ya mean about misplacing the catalog, or maybe someone
else here "borrowed it for a while" till I finally found mine !

Thanks for the number, I'll give them a call when I get the chance. I
had originally purchased it at WDW, but remember seeing some hats in
the catalogs I get from time to time, but I guess the wife got zealous
in her early spring cleaning last week getting ready for Easter ;^(.

I picked mine for free at the Disney store in the Burlington Mall.
See 16.21 for a complete list of stores.

There seems to be more than one catalog. The merchandise/store
folks have one, and there is, (or was), a different one put out
by WDW. I'll see if I can dig out some phone numbers, and post
    them here.

    Shirley,

I don't remember if it's bigger (haven't received the Disney Mail Order
catalog for about a year now, and seemed to have lost it), but even
though they share some merchandise, they is some unique designs etc
available through the stores only and visa versa for the Mail Order.
And there was also a WDW mail order catalog available from WDW that
also has some uniqui items in it as well (you get this catalog upon
arrival at the WDW resort as opart of the package if memory serves me
    right)

Disney runs (at least) two different mail order operations. One is run

Each seems to have a different selection of stuff.

I was in the Christmas Tree Shop, otherwise known as Playtime Pools in
the summer, and they have a whole room full of Disney pharaphenial that
is on sale for 50% off. Lots of T-shirts, sweatshirts, stuffed
animals, etc. Apparently their Disney room just didn't have the return
    that they though it would.

The shop is located on Boynton Street in Manchester, NH.

You would take 101 West exit from the turnpike, to the 101W and
114 Junction. Turn right and you are immediately on Boynton Street.

The shop is no more than a half mile down on the right.

    Hope this helps someone.

55.11Mickey Waffle MakerTLE::FELDMANLarix decidua, var. decifyMon Mar 18 1991 00:0815
This is a spinoff from notes 31.89 and 31.91.

Last time I was down at WDW, I looked high and low for a Mickey waffle maker.
No luck. My patience finally wore out, and I got an ordinary one on sale
around the holidays.

In the last few weeks, the stores have been flooded with a Micky waffle maker.
Lechmere has had them on sale for a couple of weeks, Jordan Marsh has had them
on sale, and the kitchen store at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua has had them.
At $49.99 sale price, they're expensive, but, well, you know....

Too bad they didn't have them out in time for the holidays. I don't think
I can justify a second waffle maker now.

the 800-237-5751 (see note 179.5). When you call this number they'd be
more than happy to put you on their mailing list and will send you out
their back to school catalog. I should get mine this week. The
merchandising catalog does not show any pictures of what they've got

Do you mean the Character Shop at the BELZ Mall? This Mall is at the
very end of International Drive. I'm gonna say West but am not sure.
Just follow I-Drive to the very end and you'll see a huge mall on the
left. The Character Shop is in Building II if I'm not mistaken.

You can get good bargains here but keep in mind that floor space is
limited so the variety may be far from what you would see in an on the
    property store.

We also visited the Character Shop (Warehouse?) this vacation. As
Mike mentioned, don't expect to find every piece of Disney gear at
vastly reduced prices. What they do have in is cheap - 50% or less
than on-site, but you tend to find the racks full of one size
only, and less popular sizes at that. Having said that, what they
stock is the genuine, high quality Disney product and if you find
something that fits, you do get a bargain.

How to get to I-DRIVE (International Drive, mentioned countless times
    in here in both formats)

From WDW take Interstate 4 North to the Sand Lake Road Exit (exit 29),
take a right off the exit (taking a left will bring you to back
entrance to Universal Studios which will be on the right hand side of
Sand Lake), then take imediate left onto International Drive and
welcome to the land of Hotels/Motels, XXXX WORLD gifts shops, and every
restaurant imaginable ;^) (taking a right on I-Drive gets you to the
least populace area and Sea-World. The Character shop is located in
the Beltz Mall on the left hand side as you come to the intersection
with Kirkman Rd (a right on Kirkman take you to Martin Marietta, and a
    left to Universal Studios).

or if you don't wish to experience I-Drive

From WDW take I-4 North to exit 30, take a right on Kirkman RD, make a
left onto I-Drive and the Beltz mall will be on your right hand side.

If you're driving along International Drive and the tilted Ripley's
House is on your right as you approavh the intersection of Sand Lake
Road then you are heading in the right direction. Go through that
interxection and keep going until you approach the Mall on your left.

55.34Trying to find a specific Mighty Ducks capCSC32::J_HANLONFri Aug 19 1994 02:5926
I am wondering if anyone has the number for the Mighty Ducks catalog or
their merchandise store? Or if anyone knows where I might mail order a
specific cap?

My son's most favorite hat was stolen at Cub Scout camp and I am trying
desperately to replace it. The hat is a Mighty Ducks cap that I bought at
the Disney Store back in March. The cap is white with goalie mask markings
and a teal blue bill. It has the Mighty Ducks insignia on it and I think
they called it a goalie mask cap. It is made just like any other baseball
cap, but has the goalie mask markings.

I went to our Disney Store and they told me they were out of them and wouldn't
be getting anymore. They were very helpful and gave me the Disney catalog
number. I called there but they couldn't find one in their catalog (they
weren't so helpful). The person at the Disney store also mentioned a Mighty
Ducks catalog that was out a few months ago, but they didn't know the phone
number, just that it was different than that of the general Disney catalog.

If anyone has seen this particular cap and could give me the store's phone
number, I would be forever grateful. Or if you know the number to call for
Mighty Ducks merchandise, I would certainly appreciate it! My son really
loved this hat and I would very much like to replace it.

Thank you,

Also try the Disneyland Hotel in California - they can connect

called Team Mickey). Discribe what your looking for and the type
of shop (it is strictly devoted to sportswear and sport team gear).

shirts, sweats, jackets, keyrings...hopefully they'll have the

So did I buy it? Well, Deb wants to stay in the GF for our 10th wedding
aniversary in '98, so it seemed like a good way to start getting used to
the prices :-).

Hopefully, this is the right place to enter this note.

Do many of you order the Disney cartoon movies through the stores or
from the catalog? We've been doing it awhile, mainly to receive the
lithographs. Usually they offer another gift with purchase, either a
watch or 5 Disney Dollars. We have been selecting the Disney Dollars.
Interesting enough, we ordered Pocahontis through the store at Pheasant
Lane Mall in NH, usually we order through the catalog, and found out
they done honor the catalog dollars, seems they are different
divisions. Guess we'll have to take turns in the future, so we can
take advantage of the $5 off.

I've been thinking about ordering newly released videos through QVC.
If they are less than the store price and arrive earlier than the store
release than that's the way to go.

    help!

this past november, we were at disney world, and my boyfriend bought me
a musical pooh from a store on main street for my birthday. you push
his left-hand paw, and the pooh song plays. well, this weekend, i
discovered that i doesn't work anymore! it sounds soooooo sick. and
as far as i can tell, there is no way to get in at the musical device
without tearing him apart. and i haven't seen anything like him in
any of the off-site disney stores.

does anyone know how i can find out if he is fixable or even replacable
    thru wdw????

Wow - I've had that same Pooh for ~10 years and he still plays.
Maybe yours is defective? or saw an awful lot of use 8^)
I got mine at Sears back when they licensed Pooh so that
    won't help you..

I think that if you call WDW direct they may be able to help you. I
beleive the number is 407-824-4321. I have found that after I've been
to the park and opted not to purchase something, that even up to a year
later, I've been able to describe it, about where I saw it and they
have been pretty successful at finding things and shipping them to me.
If they can't find a replacement, they may be able to help you get it
    repaired. It's worth a try!

well, i called the 800# that someone gave me, and the woman told me i
was basically out of luck as far as getting it replaced or fixed. she
told me that they don't last forever and i could buy another one. i
told her i didn't expect it to last forever, but i did expect it to
last more than 8 months, and they don't do 'partial credit' for
purchases (i was hoping i could perhaps send them the defective one and
get some money off of a new one) she said i could bring it someplace to
get it repaired, but wasn't very helpful as to *where* i could bring it.
and there isn't a "musical toys-repaired" in the yellow pages...

i guess i am just going to have to hum the tune to myself.

    Raquel,

Since you seem to be out of luck getting your Pooh bear fixed or
replaced, try fixing it yourself. It sounds like it just needs a new
battery. Just open a seam near the music box and see what type battery
it needs. Most likely it's a button type battery. Replace the
battery, sew him up and voila, he's cured. I do the same thing for my
    daughter's stuffed musical toys.

When we were there last month there was a guy in the Disneyana Shop at
the MK buying hundreds of dollars worth of 25th anniv stuff.
He even offered to buy my son's LED hat. I guess he was a
collector.

	RE: 25th Anniversary Stuff

Just got back from DW, but didn't have time to do all the shopping
I'd wanted to. Is there any way to buy 25th stuff (shirt etc.) via
Catalogue, Internet?? Any ideas???

Thanks!

related to "Aileen" who just asked the same thing in radp? :-)

the answer that popped up there was:

 WDW Mail Order 800-272-6201
Open Monday thru Friday 8:30 - 4:30 (eastern). If an
item is available at the parks, they'll try and track
it down and ship to you. UPS charges are approximately
 $5 (under $100) and $10 (over $100).
