4.10Any updates?THEBAY::WIEGLEBVoracious schools of lottery girlsTue Feb 25 1997 18:5813
    A couple of helpful hints...

The IP node "mail4u" seems to be at mail4u.zko.dec.com and does not
seem to be in the WINS database. The IP address is 16.31.112.169.

The version currently in the V12 directory seems to be V1.2, not V1.2A,
and the versions in the V12NT directory seem to be V1.2A field tests.

    Any chance of updates?

    Thanks,

    - Dave

*** Digital Driver V1.2A for MAPI is now available! ***

The Digital Driver for MAPI lets you connect a Microsoft Exchange, Schedule+
or Microsoft Word client to the MailWorks for UNIX Messaging and Directory
Services. The Microsoft Exchange client is included in Windows 95 or can be
obtained from Microsoft for Windows NT. The Digital Driver for MAPI allows
users of the Exchange client to:

  - Send and receive X.400, SMTP, Message Router (MR), and local messages

  - Store messages remotely on the MailWorks server machine

  - Locate addresses in an X.500 Directory Services address book

  - Modify your server password (Windows 95 users only)

You can obtain the kit via anonymous ftp on node mail4u directory
ddmapi/v12a. Self-extracting files ddm12a-i.exe (for Windows 95 and Windows
NT Intel) and ddm12a-a.exe (for Windows NT Alpha) are available.

Create a 'disk1' subdirectory on your PC, copy the self-extracting file
ddm12a-1.exe or ddm12a-a.exe to the subdirectory, then self-extract the
file (by typing the filename). Please refer to the release notes
(readme.txt) for further information.

This kit requires MailWorks for UNIX V2.0. Refer to the conference
ABBOTT::MAILWORKS-UNIX, Topic 4, for the kit location.

Version 1.2A of the Digital Driver for MAPI contains the following
enhancements and corrections to the version 1.2 product.

    - Support for Windows NT Version 3.51 and 4.0 on both Intel and
Alpha AXP platforms has been added.
    - Handle RTF Cover Memo as main body part rather than an attachment.
    - Attachment filenames are now preserved when sending and receiving
       messages with attachments.
    - Fix to problem copying folders to its own subfolder that crashed
       server.

Please report all problems via this notes conference.
