| In my limited experience (only two cruises), I'd recommend the Eastern
Carribean - San Juan, St. Thomas, St. John. There's also usually a
"private" island included. Ours was Labadee off Haiti as it was a
Royal Carribean cruise.
You will want to start looking for cruise lines, air fares if not
included now. I'd suggest trying a couple different travel agents and
try to get ones that specialize in cruises - I've found that they know
much more. Colorado Discound Cruises is run by a couple ex-DECies;
very good. They were much cheaper on our last cruise than the AAA quote
I got.
You cost can vary quite a bit depending on the time of year, your
accomodations on the ship, shore trips, etc. We had an outside
stateroom last time - much better. We liked being able to watch out
the porthole in the morning and evening. Cruises are a good deal
price-wise if you consider what you are getting for $. Meals usually
excellent, shows well done and entertaining, etc.
Try checking out the rest of this conference. There are many notes
that discuss what you've asked. Lots and lots of opinions.
Have a good time.
