| Hi all,
Recently (May 6th) my husband and I took our 5th cruise but first
time on NCL (Norway). Sorry to say it will be our last on that ship.
To say we were disappointed is an understatement. As past cruisers on
RCCL line I guess we were spoiled because as fas as we are concerned
there is no comparison.
Some of the problems we encountered were poor service, poor
entertainment and high prices. Another inconvenience is the fact
that you need tender service in each port except Miami.
We did enjoy two things that RCCL line does not have and that was
a superior outside stateroom and continuous formal breakfast from
7-9:30. This sure beats getting up early if you're main seating and it
double beats cold breakfast by the pool.
All in all in good conscience we would not recommend sailing on this
ship.

Hi,
My wife and I and 8 other family members took the Norway on May
20-28th. We had a great time but will probably not take NCL again.
This was our 4th cruise. Carnival, Royal Carribbean,Princess,Royal
Carribbean, NCL.
Good parts: I thought the food was good but not excellent. The food
at the Bistro (We made reservations twice) was excellent.
Our waiter and busboy was excellent. We had the late
seating, windward diningroom, table 123.
Our wine steward was excellent.
The entertainment was EXCELLENT.
The pool bar waiters were good.
The dancing and Disco was excellent.
Bad parts: All other service thru out the ship was poor. Almost
like you were a bother
4 of the crew took up deck chairs on the two days at sea.
Standard practice if they are off duty. Some of the
passengers could not get a deck chair.
The Land tours were expensive.
We had big problems getting a car on St Martin when we
reserved the car on the ship.
The drinks were expensive and lousy.
Our five rooms were cleaned OK but no attention to detail.
I wrote a brief letter to NCL the day I came back and received a phone
call yesterday. They offered discount coupons of $250 per person on the
next cruise we take with them regardless of what price we pay for our
next cruise. (deduct $250 off of your lowest sale or discounted price)
We are doing the Pamama Canal next year so will compare the prices.
My favorite in order was: Royal Carribbean Song of America
excellent everything
smallish rooms
Royal Carribbean Sovereign
Crowded, long lines
Carnival Festivale
Older ship
food so-so
NCL Norway
See above comments
Princess Star
Nice large rooms
Poor service, food,
entertainment.
