| The 5:45 time is when they leave, typically boarding starts 4 hours
earlier. Most ships typically serve light brunches etc. during
boarding. It is almost guaranteed that you will have a Full dinner
shortly after leaving so do not eat a large meal. First seating may
be served shortly after leaving, 2nd seating about 2 hours after first.
This assumes there are 2 seatings. As soon as you get on and get to
your cabin there will be information there on the exact time of
dinner that night and suggested dress which is usually casual for
first night on most cruises. If you are eating later then you can always
have a little extra at brunch. In some cases the brunch closes down around
4 PM, so if you got on just before departure and you had a late seating
then that would be worse case. You will have a full dinner, plus
midnight buffet and room service if necessary before you typical
next day when you only have about 10 chances to eat during the day.
Your travel agent can find out the exact time for dinner that evening.
If you have an air/sea package then you will not know your arrival
time until about 2 weeks before your cruise if typical.
