Great beaches, great swimming, great--no make that fabulous snorkeling.
Not a lot of nightlife, but then that's probably not why you're going
    there.

Rent a boat (motored) and cruise around to beaches, reefs, and other
nearby islands. People are friendly and very relaxed. Go to Foxy's
bar--on the beach on the island of Jost Van Dyke (I think--ask anybody
down there and they'll know right where it is!)

Just returned from a cruise that stopped at Virgin Gorda and Tortola..
    and they were gorgeous!

In Tortola.. we got a personal mini-tour of the island by a local
cab driver... this is recommended... driving around in the hills.
you'll see some pretty sights! Also, we went to a Beach called
Cane Garden Bay... very pretty.. has some bars right on the beach...

In Virgin Gorda, we only had time to go to the Baths.. they were great!
If you go, go thru the caves, and out to Devil's Bay beach..
comes highly recommended! Hardly any people there, and very pretty
with the rocks on each side...

have fun! wish I were still there... We're already talking about
another vacation ... when we can spend more time on these islands...
